The team is responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of capital raisings and secondary transactions (Series B to pre-IPO), as well as sponsor-backed club deals.
The team has an open position for an intern who is keen to enter a fast-growing business in the private markets ecosystem and develop a variety of skills from technical, structuring and execution expertise to interacting with companies, scale-ups and private capital investors (inc. VC funds, growth funds, crossover and private equity funds).
What you'll be doing
- Assist in preparation of origination / marketing materials to pitch new transaction ideas to clients
- Take part in origination and execution of private capital markets transactions
- Conduct investor targeting exercises and collect investor feedback using a variety of sources including external databases (Pitchbook, Refinitiv)
- Liaise with sector teams in order to gather market intelligence on an ad hoc basis
- Work together with corporate clients, investors and transaction lawyers
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent academic credentials, ability to multi-task, organized, rigorous
- Interest in private capital markets and corporate finance
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Ability to effectively interact with corporate clients and other teams as part of working groups on projects
- Ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
- Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
- Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
- Personal Accountability and ability to work in autonomy on multiple projects
- Strong oral and written communications skills, including perfect fluency in English
