General Role

The role of the Sales Associate is to assist the Team Leaders and Store Manager in all aspects of the Hermès store within Hermès standards.  The Sales Associate will provide exceptional client experience to all clients whilst supporting the store with daily operations and back-of-house duties.  The Sales Associate will assist in maintaining the store environment, image of the House and will be involved in store related activities.

Please note: This is a part-time position (3 days per week). Applicants must be available to work across Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including evening trading hours. 

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for the contribution of all daily store operations including but not limited to:

Client Experience:

• Strives to provides exceptional client experience in line with the Sales & Service Ambassador guidelines and benchmarks to every client in Hermès
• Practices the Orange Box Ceremony and Hand Rituals
• Clientele with current and potential clients to establish and maintain client relationships
• Handle complex client experience concerns and issues, i.e. dissatisfied customers, exchanges, returns, after-sales according to the Store Notebook
• Offer exceptional aftersales experience to all clients with assessment of repairs and accurate completion of relevant forms
• Capture accurate and relevant information through POS and CRM systems
• Communicates feedback gathered through in-store activities to store management 
• Utilise professional and elegant dialogue with clients and team members
• Being a proactive Ambassador for assigned métier
• Meticulous visual merchandising and housekeeping of retail floor areas
• Clean, tidy and logical BOH stock areas – ensure stock is easy to find
• Understanding and sharing of métier performance
• Accurate mini count/ stock take results
• Sharing of key information about the métier
• Training and sharing on new product launches, particularly for new joiners
• Sharing and being an expert on care and aftersales 
• Demonstrate and encourage team to master the Métier Hand Rituals
• Positive teamwork and provides support or their Ambassadorship 

Métier Ambassadorship:

• Being a proactive Ambassador for assigned métier

Daily Operations:

• Daily housekeeping duties
• Assist in stock duties including unpacking, validating and distributing stock deliveries
• Apply visual merchandising guidelines
• Participate in cycle counts and stock takes
• Adhere and abides by all policies set out by Hermès Australia and Hermès international

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Availability to work within a 7-day roster including weekends.
• A strong background in customer service and/or sales. Experience in a luxury environment is advantageous.
• A team player attitude and the ability to embody the values of the Hermès Maison.
• Excellent relationship development skills with impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
• Display a high standard of presentation and grooming. 
• A passion for our creations and the craft and identity of our Maison with a comprehensive product knowledge in Hermès Métiers. 
• A positive, proactive, efficient and client focused attitude. 
• A strong sense of time management with the ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise.
• The ability to achieve personal targets and quickly adapt to an ever-evolving, rapid moving retail environment whilst maintaining professionalism. 
• The ability to work independently while balancing collaboration with a team.
