Position SummaryProvide end-to-end support in Australia Tax Bookkeeping process, from maintain books of accounts to preparing financial statements, this role requires strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to follow established processes while meeting deadlines.
To list some of key responsibilities: -
- Recording & Managing daily accounting transactions
- Apply Basic Accounting principles and appropriate Accounting treatment to transactions
- Preparation of Monthly Accounts & Management reports
- Processing month-end activities, including accounts, GST reconciliations, adjustment entries, variance reviews, completion of month-end checklists
- Liaising with AU stakeholders in preparation and finalization of accounts
- Managing Accounts receivable and payable functions including processing of invoices due for payment
- Processing payroll and other related payroll tasks in a timely manner
- Strong Accounting knowledge
- Strong level of accuracy & attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet recurring deadlines.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Problem solving ability and investigation of discrepancies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full-time Master of Commerce (M. Com) or Full-time Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance or equivalent from reputed University with minimum of 60% and above or equivalent CGPA
- Basic knowledge of Journal Entries, General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processing.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Aptitude for learning technology & software.
- Experience: up to 18 months in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and accounting documentation.
