Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Working with Enterprise Architect peers to analyze business strategy and trends and consider other Enterprise Architect viewpoints (such as business, information and solution). Remedy deficiencies in the current-state technologies to derive the future-state.
- Leading and supporting solutioning activities that guide the development and management of technical and infrastructure solutions.
- Define and present the solution options for new projects. Prepare recommendations with ballpark estimates to business users ensuring the options are aligned with business needs and strategy.
- Identify and assess various solution options from both technical architecture and business architecture perspectives to ensure recommendations are aligned with the business needs and strategy.
- Identify technology and delivery risks associated with proposed solutions to ensure that necessary measures are taken to mitigate these risks.
- Work closely with project team and key stakeholders to develop the overall solution architecture and ensure all requirements from key stakeholders are captured.
- Organizing / aligning various technical disciplines and obtain necessary sign-off.
- Research market trends and identify upcoming solutions, conduct POC testing and report POC results to ensure solutions remain competitive against the market trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fields.
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience with 3+ years in solution architecture role, in which 1 year in a leadership role.
- Over 3+ years’ experience in finance / insurance industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
- Has sound knowledge in multiple domain and line of business (Life/Health/General Insurance/Insurance Operations).
- Wide exposure in different technologies (AI, web, mobile app, data, cloud, AS/400, RPG, ARCAD, etc.).
- Experienced in core system modernization, particularly for Life insurance business.
- Experienced in deigning solution which leverage Azure Cloud platforms and Containerization Platform (OpenShift preferred).
- Experience in cloud first solution architecture and move to cloud.
- Proven experience in steering enterprise-wide IT systems and applications implementation.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Understanding of finance and resource estimation.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technology, enterprise architecture, cyber security or related areas would be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with being organized, structured, and assertive.
- Fluent in English. Cantonese is strongly preferred.
