Context & Environment
- Mainly activity on drilling rigs (offshore), in offices for well preparation, post well documents or well interpretations

Activities
- Contribute to the safety of operations through efficient real-time identification and interpretation of any drilling hazards (losses, gains, overpressure, swelling clays, etc.)
- Responsible for the quality of all Geosciences data acquired on wells operated by TotalEnergies
- Ensure application of wellsite standard procedures and standing orders for data acquisition and safety (in liaison with the drilling department).
- Attend on site safety & operational meetings. During these meetings and at any time during operations WSG should point out and discuss with the drilling supervisor any geosciences information which can help drilling operation efficiency and safety.
- Key player for supervision of service companies & carry out quality audits on Mud Logging, M-LWD, E-Logging and Coring service companies
- Ensure the proper communication between the mud logging/wireline personnel and the drilling crews.
- Supervise the reception of personnel and equipment for acquisition service companies.
- Supervision, coordination and/or realization of all geological surveillance tasks, from show and cuttings descriptions to drawing up the final well composite logs and final well report, applying company standards at all times.
- In agreement with management in town and senior wellsite geologist (WSG) on rig site, take the decision to define a coring point, intermediate logging and drilling sections TD for casing points, etc.
- Integrate all available data for optimized well steering.
- Assist with all subsurface tasks (well preparation) through a good integration within subsurface team in office.
- Be involved in the performances evaluation of services companies, through a precise reporting of HSE behavior, operational follow up, timing, failures and NPT
- Main contributor for Final Well Reports & postmortem of wells in progress.
Candidate Profile
Graduate geologist with demonstrated teamwork, effective communication and strong problem-solving skills.
- Background: BSc in geology or higher degree (preferably Geology or Petroleum Geology) with a CPGA 3.5 or higher
- Professional experience (in years): 0-2 years of operational geology experience; operational experience is an advantage.
- Strong interest in wellsite operations and willingness to work in offshore environments
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, fluent in English.
