Work you’ll do
Increasingly complex tax decisions can have a significant effect, positive or negative on the future of clients’ business. Our approach combines insight and innovation from multiple disciplines with business and industry knowledge to help clients excel globally.
To list some of key responsibilities: -
- Developing an understanding of withholding tax (WHT) reclaims under EU law, double tax treaties (DTTs), and domestic law, and supporting the analysis of reclaim opportunities.
- Identification and documentation of issues and preparation of client queries
- Working as part of a wider team to complete required volumes of work
- Other UK Tax compliance-related processing activities as required
- Supporting partner, manager, and assistant manager teams on withholding tax, restructurings, and UK tax compliance engagements, with the scope and complexity aligned to the role level.
- Requesting and chasing dividend, income and tax information from clients and third parties
- Researching relevant tax treaty and regulatory topics and contributing to client analyses and tax planning discussions, as appropriate to the role level.
- Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders, as appropriate to the role level, to support reporting, technology-enabled processes, and efficient service delivery.
- Handle moderately complex work, conduct technical research, manage assigned workstreams, communicate with clients, and support junior team members.
The Team
The Deloitte UK team based in Hyderabad specializes in three core areas: FATCA/CRS content management, Reporting FATCA/CRS accounts and European Union Withholding tax reclaims. On taking up a position with the UK team you will have the opportunity to focus on these core specialisms. Qualifications Required:
- Full time Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance or equivalent from reputed University
- Relevant experience in UK tax, withholding tax, global information reporting, or related tax operations. The required experience will vary by role level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products — In particular, Excel and Word
- High level of attention to detail & well organized
- Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Work collaboratively in a team, providing assistance and support to others, when needed
- Knowledge on FATCA/CRS and EU Withholding tax reclaims would be an added advantage
Work Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST
