What is the opportunity?

RBC Direct Investing is building the next generation of self-directed investing products and experiences. RBC is giving Canadians the tools they need to take control of their financial futures. We need a product marketer who has a passion for these products and will be a Digital Marketing champion for what we are building.

As Manager, Digital Product Marketing, you will be a key product marketer on the Digital Marketing team, responsible for the presentment of RBC Direct Investing’s core products’ web experience. You will be the product expert who ensures our products are accurately, compellingly, and consistently represented online.

This role is best suited for someone who is passionate about investments and self-directed investing, who can learn to speak the language of the products fluently, and who cares deeply about how we present them to the world. You will be a true partner to Product, working hand-in-hand to ensure that what we build is client-first while representing our brand.

What will you do?

Own the digital product marketing experience

• Manage the web experience for RBC Direct Investing products – own page updates, feature launches, content refreshes, and the overall digital storefront presentation

• Translate product strategy into compelling digital marketing – positioning, messaging, and creative that resonates with self-directed investors

• Ensure product pages are accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for both user experience and search discoverability

Be the product expert

• Know our products backwards and forwards – understand the features, benefits, competitive positioning, and client use cases for current and future investment products

• Be a true believer in what we are building – bring energy and conviction to how we present our products to the market

• Stay close to the client – understand investor needs, behaviors, and pain points, and use that understanding to inform product marketing decisions

• Serve as a go-to product knowledge resource for the Acquisition team, ensuring campaigns and offers are grounded in accurate product positioning

Drive measurable results

• Drive page performance – monitor and optimize page engagement, content effectiveness, and the overall digital storefront experience

• Use data to optimize – analyze performance, identify opportunities, and iterate on page experiences and product presentation

• Report on results with clarity – communicate what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next to senior leadership and cross-functional partners

Collaborate across the organization

• Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Paid Media teams to align marketing strategy with product roadmaps and launch plans

• Ensure product positioning is integrated into the acquisition funnel

• Cross-functional collaboration with Design, Copywriting, Digital teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences

• Support customer retention & engagement initiatives – client comms, cross-sell campaigns, and email marketing

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 3+ years of digital marketing or product marketing experience, experience in financial services or a related industry a plus

• Ability to own and manage digital product marketing – page management, and performance optimization

• Strong understanding of web experience management – CMS platforms, page optimization, and digital content management

• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills – ability to work across Product, Design, Legal & Compliance teams

• Strong analytical skills – comfortable with web analytics, campaign reporting, and performance dashboards

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – ability to craft compelling product narratives and present to stakeholders

Nice-to-have

• A passion for investments and/or direct investing – genuine interest in the products and the clients we serve

• Experience with answer-engine optimization (AEO) or SEO

• Experience with CMS migrations or platform transformations
