What will your typical day look like?Acting as a practice leader, a Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for targeting and developing a book of business consisting of global hedge fund and private equity clients. You will also be responsible for overseeing a current portfolio of management companies and traditional hedge, credit and fund of funds. This would include compliance and consulting services for U.S. and foreign partnerships and corporations, with a focus on high quality delivery. You can expect to:
- Keep up to date on and apply your knowledge of current and pending U.S. and cross-border tax laws and policy developments
- Advise clients on an array of business tax matters in the Investment Management industry.
- Develop high-performing people and teams and lead business development opportunities.

You are someone with:
- A Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (i.e., ACCA). Master’s degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, and/or/ JD/LLM (taxation focus) from a US accredited institution is strongly preferred.
- A relevant professional designation that allows for practice before the US IRS (e.g. US state-licensed CPA or attorney or IRS Enrolled Agent).
- At least 7 years’ experience in a relevant Tax Practice including extensive technical experience and at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Exposure and understanding of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code with in-depth experience in the broader Investment Management Industry with a focus on Hedge Funds and/or Private Equity.
- Experience in assisting with the development of new business.
