Job Title: DMI Senior Project Manager-Fragrance Category
Role Mission:
To bridge the gap between local cultural nuances and global brand DNA. You will lead the "end-to-end" innovation for the fragrance category—from identifying Chinese consumer insights and crafting olfactory concepts to managing the industrialization and 360° launch of groundbreaking products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Strategy & Insight:
- Innovation Roadmap: Define the 3-year innovation plan for the region, identifying white spaces in the fragrance market.
- Trend Hunting: Deep-dive into local lifestyle, olfactory trends, and competitor dynamics to generate actionable product insights.
2. End-to-End Product Development (From Concept to Shelf):
- Concept & Storytelling: Create "0-to-1" fragrance concepts with compelling narratives that resonate with local consumers while respecting brand heritage.
- Olfactory Orchestration: Write briefs for fragrance houses, lead scent evaluations, and select high-quality "juices."
- Packaging Artistry: Oversee packaging design (primary & secondary) to ensure luxury craftsmanship and functional excellence.
- Industrialization & Execution: Coordinate with Product Marketing, Research & Innovation, Packaging, and Industrial teams to solve technical complexities (stability, feasibility, cost) to ensure on-time delivery.
3. Integrated 360° Launch:
- Asset Creation: Lead the development of the 360° marketing mix, including visual imagery, social/digital content, and retail merchandising.
- Go-to-Market Kits: Provide implementation guidelines and "Country Kits" to ensure successful local adaptation and execution.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Cross-Functional Pivot: Manage relationships between Local Hubs, Global DMI (Paris), and regional zones.
- Top Management Presentations: Prepare impactful business cases and presentations for senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in Beauty/FMCG marketing, with at least 2 years in Product Development. Fragrance experience is a strong plus.
- Skillset: A balance of "Art & Science"—strong olfactory/aesthetic sense combined with rigorous project management.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Tools & Analytics: Proficient in category analysis and project tracking tools.
- Language: Native-level Chinese and fluent English (working language).
