Vice President (VP) Data Business Analyst

Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities. 

Accountabilities

• Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
• Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
• Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
• Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
• Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
• Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

They will lead collaborative, multi-year assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions..
• Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
• Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
• Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
• Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.

To be successful as an “Vice President (VP) Data Business Analyst ", you should have experience with:

 Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Act as the primary liaison for senior stakeholders across technology, operations, and business units.
• Influence decision-making and secure alignment on product priorities and investments.
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization and timely delivery.
• Hands on Experience in EDP technology, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
• Oversee release planning, sprint prioritization, and coordination of cross-team dependencies.
• Ensure adherence to data governance principles, privacy regulations, and security standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and delivery.
• Track adoption, usage, and performance metrics to assess product success.
• Recommend enhancements based on data-driven insights and emerging technologies.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

• Candidates with experience in Banking / Finance domain preferred.

This role is based out of Pune.
