About the Functions:

Procurement shapes how we build and grow our brands through the partnerships, services and materials that support our business. 

Managing over £12bn of spend, this team works across our global supply chain to create value, drive efficiency and support sustainable growth. From supplier partnerships to innovation, their work has a direct impact on the quality and success of our brands. 

You’ll collaborate with teams and partners around the world, helping deliver solutions that meet today’s needs while shaping what comes next. 

About the role:

Support and execute Diageo's regional procurement strategy for Packaging and partner with regional stakeholders to deliver sustainable commercial value while embedding global procurement strategies. Lead on any local procurement strategies agreed with the global leads.

• Support and deliver the regional procurement strategy for Packaging spend, aligning procurement priorities with Supply Chain objectives and growth ambitions.
• Support sourcing, commercial negotiations and supplier relationships across locally managed categories
• Partner with Global Category Managers to execute global sourcing strategies, ensuring regional requirements are represented and successfully implemented.
• Leverage strong relationships with Packaging category teams, suppliers, and procurement teams delivering value across cost, service, quality, resilience, sustainability and risk.
• Support regional productivity, supplier innovation and continuous improvement through market insight, digital procurement, AI and data-driven decision making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support Regional Procurement Delivery – Own & deliver the regional Procurement strategy for the Packaging , delivering commercial value and supporting business performance
• Business Partner & Supplier Leadership – Build & leverage partnerships with category stakeholders, procurement teams and suppliers to deliver sustainable value and operational excellence.
• Support Regional Procurement Capability – Lead the regional Procurement category team, embedding global standards, developing capability and driving continuous improvement across procurement performance.

• Commercial & Business Partnership – Delivers commercial value through strong business partnering, strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Leadership & Collaboration – Leads high-performing teams and collaborates across regional and global stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
• Category Execution & Continuous Improvement – Develops & executes regional procurement strategies, collaborating effectively across regional & global teams, and improves Procurement performance through operational excellence and digital ways of working

Experience / skills required: 

• Degree qualified (or equivalent professional experience) with significant leadership experience across procurement, manufacturing and/ or other supply chain areas in FMCG/ consumer goods industry
• Demonstrated success leading regional procurement teams, developing business partnerships and delivering commercial value across multiple procurement categories.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability, with experience implementing global strategies, change management and transformation initiatives & leading teams
