About this opportunity

The Senior Manager – Motor Finance Compliance leads the provision of proactive, pragmatic and risk-based Conduct and Compliance Risk support to the Motor Finance business. The role acts as a senior second-line partner, helping the business interpret and meet regulatory expectations while supporting good customer outcomes, effective risk management and sustainable commercial delivery.

Working closely with senior business and control function collaborators, the role provides clear, authoritative and commercially aware compliance advice across products, customer journeys, change activity, governance and oversight. It supports informed risk-based decision making, provides constructive challenge where required, attends relevant governance forums and committees, and ensures key conduct and compliance risks are identified, assessed, managed and evidenced appropriately.

The Senior Manager also plays a key role in shaping and delivering the Compliance oversight plan for Motor Finance, using insight, management information, assurance findings and regulatory developments to identify emerging risks, influence priorities and drive continuous improvement in the control environment. The role includes line management responsibilities, the coaching and development of junior colleagues, and deputising for the Head of Compliance as required.
