Project Overview:
ACCIONA has partnered with SMEC to form the Malabar System Alliance, working with Sydney Water on a ten-year wastewater upgrade program. The first stage upgrades the Liverpool and Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facilities to boost capacity and support Sydney's growth. Our mechanical and electrical teams deliver the plant upgrades on site. This is a long-term program with steady, secure work.
Position Overview:
This role oversees and manages all mechanical aspects of construction projects. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating mechanical work crews, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and on-site teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Your expertise in mechanical systems, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills are essential for the successful execution of mechanical construction projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise mechanical work crews on site
- Check work meets safety and quality standards
- Solve technical problems as they come up
- Plan daily tasks and assign work to the team
- Report progress to the project team
- Follow ACCIONA procedures and permits
- Support and guide your team every day
Required Skills and Competencies
- Trade qualification in mechanical, construction or related field
- 10+ years experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on site
- Strong safety knowledge and mindset
- Clear communication and leadership skills
- Ability to plan and organise daily work
