As we continue to accelerate our AI-first product strategy, we are seeking a Director of Product Management, APAC to lead product innovation across one of our most dynamic regions. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines customer intimacy, technical product leadership and AI product development to shape the next generation of products serving legal and professional markets across Asia Pacific.
As a member of the APAC Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in balancing regional customer needs with global platform strategy, ensuring AI investments deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
About the Role
The Director of Product Management, APAC is a technical product leader who owns APAC product outcomes, customer signal and AI-first product development.
This role is responsible for translating regional customer problems and emerging market opportunities into scalable AI-enabled products and platform capabilities. Working in close partnership with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Architecture and Global Product teams, this role leads the discovery, design and delivery of technical product solutions that accelerate innovation across the APAC portfolio.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial judgement with deep technical product expertise to shape product roadmaps, validate AI use cases and ensure solutions are technically feasible, commercially viable and customer-centric.
You will champion modern product development practices, including agile delivery, experimentation, AI model evaluation and data-driven decision making.
The Director leads a regional team of Product Managers while acting as the primary technical product partner for Engineering and AI development teams across APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Focus
You will:
Interact regularly with customers and develop a deep understanding of their businesses, workflows and use cases.
Build a comprehensive understanding of competitor products, strategies and market dynamics.
Balance customer needs with organisational priorities to shape strategic product direction.
Anticipate emerging trends within customer segments and markets.
Understand how value is defined and perceived across different customer segments.
Engage with peer organisations, industry leaders and start-ups to identify innovation opportunities.
Technical Product Leadership
You will:
Lead product development from opportunity identification through production deployment and continuous optimisation.
Translate customer and business problems into detailed product requirements, AI use cases and technical product roadmaps.
Partner with Engineering teams to define scalable platform capabilities and reusable AI services.
Drive product decisions that balance customer value, technical complexity, speed-to-market and commercial impact.
Champion modern Product Discovery techniques including rapid experimentation, customer validation and iterative delivery.
AI Product Development
You will:
Identify opportunities where Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning and automation can create differentiated customer value.
Define AI product requirements including model selection, evaluation criteria, governance frameworks, guardrails and responsible AI principles.
Establish success metrics for AI-enabled products covering customer outcomes, adoption, model effectiveness and business impact.
Ensure AI capabilities are integrated into broader product experiences rather than deployed as standalone technology initiatives.
Engineering Partnership
You will:
Act as the primary Product counterpart to APAC Engineering leadership for technical strategy, platform evolution and AI roadmap execution.
Drive joint planning activities to prioritise technical investments, platform modernisation and architectural evolution.
Facilitate trade-off decisions across innovation, customer requirements, operational needs and technical complexity.
Lead roadmap planning across Product, Engineering and Commercial teams.
Influence and challenge engineering decisions through strong technical understanding and product expertise.
Product Delivery
You will:
Lead cross-functional product squads delivering AI-enabled software products.
Establish meaningful product metrics and continuously assess customer adoption, engagement, product quality and commercial performance.
Build a culture of experimentation, evidence-based prioritisation and continuous delivery.
Leadership & Team Development
You will:
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Build organisational capability to adapt to changing customer needs and emerging technologies.
Serve as an active and influential member of the APAC Senior Leadership Team.
What You'll Bring
Essential Experience
10-15 years of Product Management leadership experience.
Direct and recent experience developing Agentic AI systems.
Experience launching AI-powered SaaS products at scale.
Demonstrated success delivering AI-enabled software products from concept through production.
Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, prompt engineering and model evaluation frameworks.
Experience working within AI-native product design environments.
Strong understanding of cloud software architecture, APIs, platform engineering and modern software development practices.
Proven ability to balance customer outcomes with technical constraints and architectural considerations.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams within complex, highly matrixed global organisations.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
Legal education or experience within Legal Technology environments would be highly advantageous.
