Work you'll do

As a Tax Consultant II on the Business Process Solutions – Accounting team, you will be responsible for supporting US teams with accounting, reporting, and operational activities across engagements.

• Support financial administration activities, including invoice processing and engagement-related coordination.
• Analyze journals, trial balances, reconciliations, and other financial data to support reporting requirements.
• Execute activities that support period-close processes, financial reporting, and annual financial statement preparation.
• Follow checklists, workflow documentation, and procedure guides, and update documentation as processes change.
• Identify discrepancies, escalate issues when appropriate, and support process improvement and automation initiatives.

The Team

The Business Process Solutions – Accounting team within USI Tax supports Deloitte Tax’s US practice by delivering accounting and reporting support across engagements. The team works across tax, finance, and operations activities to help maintain reporting quality, improve processes, and support evolving business requirements. Professionals on this team collaborate with US stakeholders in a structured, fast-paced environment that emphasizes technical development and continuous improvement.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM / 2 PM to 11 PM

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, finance, tax reporting, or financial statement support
• Experience working with journals, trial balances, reconciliations, and financial data analysis
• Experience supporting period-close, financial reporting, or annual financial statement preparation
• Experience processing invoices or supporting financial administration activities
• Ability to work rotational shifts of 11 AM to 8 PM and/or 2 PM to 11 PM

Preferred:

• Experience using BDH (Business Data Hub)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with US-based teams or global stakeholders
• Experience documenting or updating workflow guides, checklists, or process documentation.
