Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our Wealth Digital Products and Proposition Domain. This critical role involves bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, value-driven software. 

Ideal candidate should possess Capital Market / Wealth product knowledge, specifically on Wealth Lending Platform with relevant skills and experiences to work on product innovation. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• Contribute product, client, market and technology insights to the Wealth Lending roadmap and support prioritisation of initiatives based on client outcomes, business value, risk and delivery feasibility.
• Shapes recommendations across complex or strategically important product areas, challenges assumptions and influences roadmap decisions through product expertise, impact analysis and stakeholder alignment.

Business

• Elicit, analyse, validate and document functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate techniques, including user stories, use cases, process models and acceptance criteria.
• Translate business objectives, client needs and regulatory requirements into clear, testable and implementable requirements.
• Partner with Product Owners, engineering, architecture, quality engineering and business stakeholders to refine and prioritise the product backlog.
• Perform impact, dependency, option and risk analysis for proposed changes.
• Support testing, implementation and post-release validation, including UAT preparation, defect clarification and business readiness.
• Maintain traceability from business outcomes through requirements, delivery and acceptance.
• Leads business analysis for complex, cross-system or strategically significant initiatives. Defines the analysis approach, resolves ambiguity, manages competing stakeholder needs and owns the quality and completeness of analysis across the end-to-end initiative.

Processes

• Analyse current-state Wealth Lending processes and identify opportunities for simplification, control improvement, automation and better client outcomes.
• Define future-state processes, business rules, data flows and operational impacts for new or enhanced capabilities.
• Ensure process and requirement artefacts remain current, consistent and accessible throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Leads end-to-end process analysis across functions, systems or markets and influences agreement on material process, operating model and control changes.

People & Talent

• Provide functional guidance, coaching and quality oversight to Business Analysts working on related initiatives.
• Lead peer reviews and promote consistent business analysis standards, reusable assets and good practices.
• Support capability development, onboarding and knowledge sharing across the chapter.

Risk Management*

• Identify, assess, document, escalate and support the resolution of delivery, operational, conduct, regulatory and technology risks relevant to assigned initiatives.
• Anticipates material risks across complex initiatives, challenges proposed approaches where required and drives agreement on proportionate mitigation, ownership and closure.

Governance

• Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (SCB Governance Standards, ESDLC etc.).
• Defines and oversees the analysis governance approach for complex initiatives, assures the quality of key artefacts and resolves significant gaps before governance or delivery decisions.

Skills and Experience

Requirements Analysis
• Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Scrum
• Knowledge of the principles, components and features of scrum methodology; ability to apply this methodology to manage software product development processes.
Software Change Request Management
• Knowledge of, and experience with, managing product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
Agile Project Management
• Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or higher, in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Typically 12 or more years of relevant experience in business analysis, product analysis or financial services technology, including leadership of analysis for complex, cross-system or cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to shape the analysis approach, operate with limited direction, influence senior stakeholders, resolve ambiguity and take end-to-end ownership of analysis outcomes.
• Deep Wealth Lending or closely related Wealth Management experience, supported by strong understanding of product, process, data, controls and platform integration, is strongly preferred.
• Experience coaching other analysts and establishing analysis standards or reusable practices is expected
