Purpose of the Role
As a Propositions Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development, management, and go-to-market execution of customer-centric propositions, encompassing insurance products, value-added services, brand positioning, and customer experience journeys. Your role will own the design and delivery of compelling, differentiated propositions by integrating customer insights, business strategy, and market trends.
You will also ensure propositions are commercially viable, easy to understand, and consistently delivered across all touchpoints and channels. Your role works cross-functionally to shape customer journeys, drive proposition adoption, and enable distribution teams (chapters) through clear strategies, tools, and capability-building initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Role
Proposition Strategy & Development
- Develop customer-centric propositions by translating market insights, customer needs, and business priorities into clear value propositions.
- Define proposition frameworks covering target segment, customer need, value, differentiation, and expected business outcome.
Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
- Conduct market scans, competitor reviews, and customer insight analysis to identify opportunities for proposition improvement and innovation.
- Monitor industry developments, customer expectations, and proposition best practices to keep offerings relevant and competitive.
Marketing Concept & Messaging
- Develop naming, positioning, messaging, and storytelling that make propositions simple, compelling, and differentiated.
- Prepare proposition briefs, sales materials, internal communications, and campaign support content aligned with brand and regulatory requirements.
Go-to-Market & Launch Enablement
- Lead go-to-market planning, launch readiness, promotional initiatives, and channel enablement activities.
- Develop sales tools, training kits, playbooks, and other materials that help distribution teams understand and sell propositions effectively.
Customer Journey & Experience
- Map and improve customer journeys to identify pain points and ensure a consistent proposition experience across touchpoints for new products/propositions
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Coordinate with product, actuarial, compliance, legal, sales, and external partners to support proposition design, approvals, and execution.
- Maintain proposition documentation, trackers, and reports to ensure timely updates and stakeholder alignment.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor proposition, campaign, sales, engagement, and customer feedback results; recommend actions to improve uptake and business outcomes
Requirements for the Role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, product marketing, propositions, or insurance/business development
- Working knowledge of insurance products, customer segments, and distribution channels is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, performance reports, and customer insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation capability
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, proactive, and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
- Experience with AI-driven adaptive learning technologies and data analysis for personalized training.
- Proficiency in using AI tools for content recommendation, automated assessment, and feedback.
