The Fraud Business Analyst supports the successful delivery of fraud management initiatives by analyzing business needs and fraud monitoring requirements, supporting operational readiness, and helping implement fraud controls, process improvements, and technology-enabled solutions. The role works closely with Fraud Program Management, Fraud Operations, Analytics, Technology, business lines, and control partners to strengthen fraud prevention, detection, monitoring, and resolution capabilities while improving operational efficiency and the client experience.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU? IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Analyze fraud monitoring requirements, business needs, fraud risks, operational pain points, and control gaps to define clear requirements and recommended solutions.
• Document business requirements, current-state and future-state processes, user stories, workflows, procedures, and operational impacts for fraud initiatives.
• Support the intake, assessment, prioritization, and delivery of fraud-related initiatives, including technology enhancements, process changes, data enrichment, reporting improvements, and control uplift activities.
• Work with Fraud Operations, Analytics, Technology, and business partners to support solution design, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
• Participate in business readiness activities, including stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, communications, training support, knowledge management updates, and go-live readiness tracking.
• Support user acceptance testing by developing or reviewing test scenarios, coordinating business sign-off, tracking defects, and validating that solutions meet business and fraud control requirements.
• Investigate, analyze, and help resolve operational issues, data quality concerns, reporting gaps, system defects, and process exceptions.
• Prepare concise updates, analysis, issue summaries, and recommendations for management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of fraud trends, risk management practices, fraud controls, regulatory expectations, technology changes, and internal policies relevant to the role.
• Contribute to a strong risk culture by ensuring day-to-day activities align with the Bank’s risk appetite, compliance obligations, conduct expectations, and control standards.

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE YOU TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE? WE’D LOVE TO WORK WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE:

• Post-secondary education in business, finance, risk management, technology, data analytics, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in business analysis, fraud management, banking operations, project delivery, risk management, or technology-enabled process improvement.
• Strong understanding of fraud prevention, detection, monitoring, investigations, operational controls, or financial services processes is an asset.
• Experience documenting business requirements, process maps, test scenarios, implementation plans, procedures, or operational readiness materials.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, assess impacts, and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and concise management updates.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
• Comfort working with data, reporting, dashboards, system outputs, and data quality issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with workflow, case management, fraud monitoring, analytics, or project management tools is an asset.
