Zurich Capability Center is currently in the process of expanding our Contingent Workforce & Supplier Governance team
and is seeking an:
Operations Consultant
who will support the program for North America while interfacing enterprise wide.
This team is structured within Advanced Technology & Operations Transformation of the Operations & Technology organization.
Responsibilities:
As an Operations Consultant, you are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Engagement Managers and Contract Owners while supporting the end-to-end third-party governance
and Contingent Workforce processes Statements of Work management.
Support the day-to-day program operational tasks may include:
- Review and manage Statements of Work by partnering with project managers, suppliers, VMO, Procurement, and other stakeholders throughout the Services Procurement lifecycle.
Review Statements of Work for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with master agreements, program requirements, and approved rate cards.
Monitor Statements of Work through the approval process, proactively identifying delays, resolving issues, and driving timely completion.
Identify and drive cost savings opportunities within the contingent workforce and supplier governance program through rate validation, process discipline, and supplier engagement.
The end-to-end requisition process of contingent workers by partnering with the Zurich engagement manager to get a full understanding of position requirements and effectively translating for suppliers.
Support contingent workers, suppliers, and engagement managers with ongoing maintenance of contingent workers including timesheets, performance discussions with suppliers, contingent worker issues, etc.
Complete ad hoc and recurring operational reports through the Beeline vendor management system or the OneTrust third-party governance tool to ensure data accuracy, program visibility, and leadership reporting needs are met.
Provide constant interaction via face to face, email, video calls, and other collaboration channels with engagement managers, suppliers, contingent workers, and other partners.
Assist with worker assignment management (cost center changes, extension of contract assignments etc.) to improve data integrity.
Assist and monitor time and expense entry to ensure appropriate approvals occur by engagement managers by required deadlines.
Lead and support projects to address strategic and operational priorities which are cross functional and highly visible.
Identify, develop, and drive AI-enabled solutions to improve program efficiency, automate manual processes, and enhance stakeholder experience.
Manage the program mailbox and ticketing system to address items raised by engagement managers and/or suppliers.
Apply critical thinking to various contingent workforce and supplier governance processes and projects to support policies, guidelines, and governmental regulations.
Develop training content and provide ad hoc and ongoing training for both contingent workforce engagement managers / suppliers.
Support third-party governance activities, including supplier intake, documentation review, risk assessment follow-up, and ongoing monitoring within the OneTrust third-party governance tool.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Operations area
AND:Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently
Experience with a Vendor Management System (e.g., Beeline).
Contingent Workforce Management (CWM) experience (e.g., MSP, Staffing Supplier, internal CWM program).
Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization from entry level to senior leaders.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Change management, process management, and negotiation skills.
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate
requirements.
Data analysis, analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using Power BI to develop, maintain, and interpret dashboards and reports that support operational insights and leadership decision-making.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Experience identifying process improvement, automation, or AI-enabled solutions to improve operational efficiency.
