Technical Business Analyst Intern with German (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks

• Learn from experienced technical business analysts, product owners, developers, architects, and subject-matter experts.
• Work with German-speaking stakeholders to clarify business objectives, processes, data needs, and system requirements.
• Document user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, interface needs, and process models.
• Support workshops, backlog refinement, impact analysis, solution discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Analyse data and system behaviour using basic SQL, reports, logs, or API documentation with guidance from the team.
• Prepare test scenarios, support user acceptance testing, document defects, and help confirm that delivered solutions meet agreed requirements.
• Develop practical knowledge of banking applications, system integrations, regulatory considerations, and agile software delivery.
• Receive regular feedback and follow a structured development plan throughout the internship.

Your Profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field;
• Strong interest in technical business analysis, digital banking, software delivery, and process improvement;
• Able to analyse and structure business needs and translate them into user stories, functional requirements, process flows, and clear technical specifications;
• Basic understanding of software-development lifecycles, APIs, databases, system integrations, and testing concepts;
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, BPMN or UML, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, or data-visualisation tools is an advantage;
• German at B2 level or higher and English at B2 level or higher, both written and spoken;
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and communication skills;
• Proactive, reliable, collaborative, and comfortable working with international business and technical teams.

Join the Commerzbank DTC Bulgaria internship program as a Technical Business Analyst Intern with German. You will support the analysis of business and technical needs, help translate them into functional and technical specifications, and collaborate with German-speaking stakeholders and agile delivery teams.

The internship will develop your skills in requirements engineering, process and data analysis, system integration, testing, and stakeholder communication while giving you practical exposure to banking applications and modern technology delivery.
