Description

We are looking for a Site Manager to join our civilian workforce to manage and support the infrastructure for the planning and execution of NATO’s major training exercises and projects, providing critical expertise in resource management. In this role, you will provide assurance to the Commander (COM) JWC that the site services and infrastructure are fit for purpose and are sufficient to allow the COM JWC to deliver effective training. This includes the planning of improvements to infrastructure and facilities. The post also comprises the position of Health, Environment and Safety Officer (HESO).

Summary

The JWC plans, prepares, and executes static and distributed joint operational level training in support of Warfare Development and Warfighting readiness.

 

The Support Directorate provides leadership and oversight of JWC’s support organisation for the delivery of exercise and base support in order to enable the Commander to conduct operational-level focused collective training for NCS and NFS HQs. Base Support Branch manages base support functions as outlined in the Host Nation Support Policy and Standards and the Garrison Support Arrangements, including facility and real estate management.

The incumbent must exercise the highest standards of integrity, acting with persuasion, in order to achieve decisions which safeguard NATO’s financial interest and image. In particular, the incumbent must be capable of working harmoniously in a multi-national environment, and possess good human skills, considerable understanding, tact and persuasion in dealing with all level of civilian and military staff; The incumbent must be an excellent communicator orally and on paper and must be capable of representing NATO in a professional manner before international, military and local audiences. The incumbent must be capable of analytical and strategic thought, and use analytical skills and experience to analyse a wide variety of complex problems, recommending optimum solutions. A good deal of thought, independent judgment and lateral and analytical thinking is required to deal with a broad range of challenges which are not all covered by policies and procedures. The incumbent must be able to largely independently assess and order tasking priorities.

Contract:

The successful applicant will be offered a three-year definite duration employment contract after which a further contract may be offered. Serving staff will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.

 

Salary:          

Starting basic salary is NOK 115,763.00 per month (tax-free). Additional allowances may apply depending on the personal circumstances of the successful candidate. For further details see NATO Terms & Conditions.
