Job Description

Purpose of the role

To keep our customers, clients, and colleagues safe by identifying cyber-vulnerabilities across the Bank, using a risk-based approach to prioritise them, and to drive effective remediation activity.

Join us as a Vulnerability Management Ops SME and help Barclays better understand and address cyber security risks. This role is part of our cyber security function, where you will review vulnerability findings, consider their relevance across our technology environment, and support teams in addressing areas that may need attention. Your work will contribute to a secure, reliable, and trusted technology environment for our customers and colleagues.

Working closely with colleagues across Technology, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Cyber Security, you will review vulnerabilities highlighted through a variety of sources, including vulnerability scanning platforms, threat information, security research, penetration testing activities, vendor advisories, and vulnerability disclosure programmes. By bringing together technical information and business context, you will help colleagues understand security findings and support a shared understanding of appropriate actions.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing improvement of Barclays' vulnerability practices. Using information from a range of sources, including vulnerability data, exposure information and the wider cyber security landscape, you will help colleagues understand where attention may be beneficial and support a consistent approach to addressing vulnerabilities. You will also contribute to improvements through automation and data-informed approaches, helping to simplify ways of working, improve consistency and support positive outcomes across the organisation.
