Role Description

Credit Risk Data Unit (CRDU)

• The Credit Risk Data Unit (CRDU) was created to bring together Credit Operations and Risk Close & Analysis functions with the aim to standardize data taxonomy and provide greater transparency on residual differences between Risk & Finance.

• A closer alignment to data management enables us to both report and manage Risk & Finance deliverables more efficiently and contributes to our goal of building a stronger and safer DB.

Your key responsibilities

Process

• Work closely with the CRM teams and CRM COO to manage enquiries related to Limit monitoring and management. Ensures the Control & Governance of ETMM module and process. Also, as a key contact, provide regular communication to various departments within DB.

• Manage teams to execute following activities – monitor limit & utilization which have excess, Review the breaches in Excess Ticket Monitoring & Management (ETMM) module. 

• Support CRMs in issuing the potential excesses to warrant attention from Credit officers to close a limit breach.

• Review of the Unassigned Excess Tickets triggered in the ETMM Module in GCRS.

• Generate and ensure timely delivery of crucial MIS dashboards, Summary presentation and Risk reporting like – KPI FX Settlement MI, Unapproved for CRO Reporting, ETMM Feed Load Report to consistently deliver high-quality standard and ad hoc reporting.

• Manage system configurations, IT incidents, and executive summaries for Rules Review Working Group (RRWG) Forum, CRM regional heads to host excess panel forums and help conduct data quality investigations etc.

• Provide KPI reporting on key operational activities and Ad hoc data analysis.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory / audit requirements and consistent governance is implemented across all reporting processes, including dedicated quality analysis of all reporting prior to distribution.

Projects

• Manage and deliver on Efficiency/Optimization projects and help create a safe to fail environment for the teams to meet the overall efficiency targets.

• Raise Data quality issues and actively contribute to the CRM DQ forums to resolve the DQ issues.

Collaboration

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment for teams, resulting in leveraged benefits.

• Reinforce the vision as a key reference in decision making and daily activities, leveraging the 8 behaviors of Leadership Compass to improve the operating model.

• Collaborate with all stakeholders including Operations, Front Office, Credit Risk IT, CRM Change, Tactical Solutions Group to deliver change, create capacity & efficiency and leverage best practice.

Your skills and experience

• Demonstrate ability to expand remit and develop broader understanding of Risk management across multiple disciplines and adapt processes / services accordingly.

• Graduate and above in any stream with 8+ years of relevant work experience within banking or related Risk management function.

• Ability to process and analyze diverse transactional behavior and display sound judgment during escalations.

• Knowledge of financial markets and investment vehicles.

• Attention to detail to work with pricing information.

• Ability to multi-task on assignments/projects in addition to managing daily responsibilities.

• Effective employee recruitment, develop and manage strong teams / talent pool.

• Creation and management of reporting processes.

• Effective senior Stakeholder management i.e. Ds and MDs.

• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• In-depth knowledge of GCRS and SAP Business Objects

• Data management and problem-solving skills.

People Management

• Manage teams as required, ensuring consistent delivery and maintenance of service levels.

• Plays an oversight role for junior members of staff.

• Participate in the hiring process to source talented individuals from External/Internal sources.

• Providing career development planning and opportunities to staff

• Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, conduct documented monthly reviews.
