Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:    

Private Banking is investing in Artificial Intelligence capabilities to enhance client lifecycle processes, improve operational efficiency and strengthen risk management controls.

The team is currently focused on delivering AI-enabled solutions across KYC processes, but over time role will support broader AI initiatives across Private Banking.

The team operates within an Agile delivery model, partnering closely with Business stakeholders, Product Owners, Operations, Compliance, Technology and AI Engineering teams to deliver practical and scalable business solutions.

The Vice President, Business Functional Analyst, will be responsible for analysing business processes, defining requirements and supporting the delivery of AI-enabled solutions across Private Banking.

The role combines strong business analysis capabilities with an understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts and delivery approaches. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and AI specialists to ensure business needs are clearly defined, solutions are fit for purpose, and outcomes are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a highly analytical and structured individual with strong stakeholder management skills and experience translating complex business challenges into detailed functional requirements.

Your key responsibilities:

Business Analysis

• Lead business analysis activities across AI-enabled change initiatives within Private Banking.

• Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.

• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business stakeholders, operations teams and subject matter experts.

• Produce high-quality requirements documentation, user stories, process maps, use cases and acceptance criteria.

• Analyse current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Support solution design activities by ensuring business requirements are fully understood and traceable.

• Perform impact assessments covering business processes, controls, operating procedures and system functionality.

AI Solution Analysis

• Translate business problems into structured AI use cases and requirements.

• Work with AI Engineers and Product Owners to define business outcomes and success criteria.

• Support the design and evaluation of AI-enabled workflows and user experiences.

• Participate in the testing and validation of AI solutions.

• Help define evaluation approaches and business acceptance criteria for AI outputs.

• Ensure business requirements appropriately address explainability, controls, governance and user adoption considerations.

• Support continuous improvement of AI-enabled capabilities following implementation.

Delivery Support

• Support Agile delivery teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning and requirements clarification activities.

• Assist with UAT planning, test case preparation and execution.

• Support business readiness activities, including operational procedures, training materials and user communications.

• Monitor and manage requirements-related risks, issues and dependencies.

• Work collaboratively across business and technology teams to support successful implementation.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong working relationships across Business, Operations, Compliance, AFC and Technology teams.

• Act as a trusted partner for business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Facilitate discussions to clarify requirements, resolve issues and achieve stakeholder alignment.

• Communicate complex concepts in a clear and structured manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Functional Analysis or Process Analysis within Financial Services.

• Experience in the following domains: Private Banking, Wealth Management or KYC.

• Experience working on AI-enabled, data-driven or advanced analytics initiatives.

• Understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models.

• Understanding of AI workflow design and AI-assisted business processes.

• Familiarity with AI engineering concepts and AI evaluation approaches.

• Understanding of AI governance, explainability and model risk considerations.

• Ability to effectively engage with AI Engineers, Data Scientists and Technology teams.

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex technology or transformation initiatives.

• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation and process modelling skills.

• Experience operating within Agile delivery environments.

• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.

• Experience supporting testing, implementation and business readiness activities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent requirements gathering and documentation capabilities.

• Strong process analysis and process modelling skills.
