Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payments Subject Matter Expert (Manager) to lead client engagements focused on payment modernization, payment operations transformation, real-time payments, merchant acquiring, cards, digital payments, and regulatory change initiatives. The individual will work closely with clients to define business strategies, design target operating models, deliver transformation programs, and support business development activities.
Experience Required:
- 8 to 12 years of experience in payments consulting, banking, fintech, or payment services.
- Minimum 3 years in a consulting or advisory environment.
- Proven experience delivering payment transformation programs for banks, payment processors, fintechs, or card schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Lead payment transformation and modernization engagements.
- Conduct current-state assessments and identify capability gaps.
- Define target operating models, business processes, and governance frameworks.
- Support implementation of payment solutions across:
- Cards (Credit/Debit)
- Merchant Acquiring
- RTP/Faster Payments
- ACH/SEPA/SWIFT
- Cross-Border Payments
- Digital Wallets
- Open Banking APIs
- ISO 20022 migration
- Lead workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
- Develop business cases, roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage client relationships at Director and Senior Manager levels.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior client leadership.
- Coordinate with business, operations, technology, compliance, and risk teams.
Practice Development
- Develop consulting assets, accelerators, and thought leadership.
- Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and solution development.
- Mentor consultants and senior analysts.
