Position Description:
Supports end to end quality assurance for Web, Mobile, Application Programming Interface (API), and Data/ETL systems by designing and executing automation frameworks. Ensures comprehensive functional, regression, integration, and performance test coverage. Develops robust automation frameworks and implements Page Object Models, parallel execution strategies, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) integrations to reduce manual testing effort and accelerate release cycles. Conducts advanced SOA, REST/SOAP API, and backend validation testing. Performs data migration, data quality, and data transformation verification across AWS, Informatica, Teradata, and enterprise data environments. Reviews defects, ensures traceability, and delivers high quality releases for high availability enterprise applications. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Designs and executes test cases.
Updates and maintains various test artifacts in the test automation framework.
Creates and maintains test cases in test case management tools.
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing software for test using Java, TypeScript, and JavaScript, in an airline, financial, and health care domain.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing software for test using Java, TypeScript, and JavaScript, in an airline, financial, and health care domain.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and deploying Cloud ready Web applications using 12-factor design, Docker containers, and API microservices, on cloud platforms and Kubernetes infrastructure; and analyzing application metrics and logs to determine performance enhancements, using Datadog.
DE driving and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline to automate the build and deployment of Java-based microservices and Angular front ends, using Jenkins and GitHub; supporting configurations using uDeploy; and monitoring logs and system metrics with Splunk.
DE developing CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid on-prem and Cloud environment, using DevOps tools and Cloud technologies (AWS and Azure) to automate testing, deployment, and configuration management processes; analyzing technology solutions to support model deployment and integration in Cloud and on-premises environments; and building model deployment and integration workflows, using AWS, on-premises, and UNIX platforms through Python scripts, Cron jobs, Docker images, and APIs.
DE architecting and providing solutions, developing micro services-based APIs, testing automation frameworks, and conducting PoC of latest Cloud technologies, using Java, Angular, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies; and supporting full Java application development lifecycle -- analysis, design, development, test, and deployment -- using Spring Boot (v2.x), Git/Stash, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Veracode.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
