eCommerce Project Manager

Digital Transformation is at the heart of L’Oréal’s global strategy. Our IT O+O (Online-to-Offline) organization continuously stretches the limits of technology across e-commerce, CRM, and digital fulfillment. Within North Asia, South Korea is at the absolute forefront of this digital revolution, moving at an incredibly fast, innovative pace.
In this role, you will be fully responsible for all aspects of the Order Management System (OMS) and its integrations for our South Korea e-commerce business, with cross-border support across the wider SAPMENA zone (when required).
You will lead mid-to-high rigor projects from design, developer build follow-ups, and end-to-end testing, through to cutover execution, hyper care, and final handover to the Operations Run team.
Key Job Accountabilities:
IT Project Management & Delivery
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead e-commerce and OMS project implementations across North Asia (primarily South Korea). Drive project schedules, risk mitigation, and compliance frameworks.
- Agile & Execution Balance: Apply Agile methodologies to manage project pipelines. Maintain a healthy balance between real-world risk mitigation and the business need for speed, agility, and performance.
- Transition to Run: Ensure a structured, robust, and sustainable handover of newly deployed systems to the Digital Operations L1/L2 Run teams. Manage vendor partners to ensure L3/L4 support stability.
Marketplace & Local Integration
- Ecosystem Expertise: Lead technical integrations and manage API/platform interactions with major South Korean marketplaces and digital partners (including Naver, Kakao, SSG.COM, and other key e-retailers).
- O+O Initiatives: Drive Online-to-Offline (O+O) use cases and retail system integrations to construct a unified commerce experience for our consumers.
Business Servicing & Technical Liaison
- Demand Shaping: Act as the primary interlocutor between regional business owners and IT. Gather, translate, and shape complex business requirements into clear, actionable system specifications.
- Budget & Alignment: Account for project budget discussions (Build vs. Run tracking) and align with brand leads on enhancement prioritization.
- Project Liaison: Facilitate smooth technical communication Zone and country-level business/technical teams in South Korea, and external software vendors.
System Performance, Compliance & Security
- System Optimization: Proactively propose architectural optimizations across OMS layers, API gateways, and ERP/SAP O2C (Order-to-Cash) flows.
- SOP & High Availability: Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and data privacy.
- Internal Controls: Champion L'Oréal's global IT security, data protection parameters, and internal audit guidelines. Keep functional documentation meticulously updated.
Professional Experience
- Overall Experience: 6–10 years of experience in Tech Operations, Supply Chain IT, or Digital Logistics (preferably within Retail, FMCG, or the Cosmetics industry).
- E-Commerce Specifics: 3–5 years of hands-on experience working directly with Order Management Systems (OMS) and e-commerce platforms, with a track record of running at least 3–5 critical turnkey projects (D2C, B2B, or marketplace-linked).
Technical & Process Knowledge
- Order-to-Cash (O2C): Complete working knowledge of O2C processes, including stock movement types, inventory valuation, and stock reconciliation between front-end and back-end ERP systems (SAP exposure is highly valued).
- System Integration: Solid understanding of API flows, integration middleware, and web security parameters.
- Agile Mindset: Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum project environments.
Language Proficiency
- English & Mandarin: Fluent (written and spoken) is required to collaborate effectively with regional teams and local stakeholders.
- Korean: Professional proficiency (written and spoken) is highly preferred / a strong plus to facilitate direct integration discussions with local business teams and platforms in South Korea.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or Business is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Project Management certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, Agile/Scrum) or technical certifications in ERP/Web technologies are a strong plus.
