What the position involves?
We are looking for a "Junior" Functional analyst for the domain of Treasury and Risk Measurement & Reporting.
What GRS can offer you?
The importance of data quality has been increasing enormously in recent years and data management has become one of most exciting domains in the financial industry.
Working at GRS (Group Reporting Services) will put you at the heart of KBC's data-driven strategy, helping to ensure that KBC delivers top quality reports to national and international regulators.
You will get the opportunity to work in an international environment, with all entities of the KBC group (six banks, five insurers) for which we produce some 4500 reports. Furthermore, you will have the chance to work for different domains, such as Treasury, Risk, Credit Risk & Finance.
However, in the future we aim to extend this to other group divisions, such as Compliance and Tax, and to activities related to non-financial data related to the sustainability policy of KBC Group.
Last but far from least, you will work for a division that is continuously looking to innovate and improve, in particular in the areas of automation and artificial intelligence.
The Rainbow program is a groupwide, international program aiming to implement a new IT platform (data warehouse) to produce company management reporting for Risk, Finance and Treasury in a more efficient and qualitative manner than the current complex and silo-based reporting solution.
Your key strengths?
Hard skills:
- You recent graduated in a relevant field (Economics, Finance, IT), possibly with internships or part-time experience
- You are interest in/learn about company management reporting for Risk, Finance and Treasury
- You have practical knowledge of SQL so you can query data and analyze it
Soft skills:
- You are motivated, eager to learn, and works under guidance on well-defined tasks.
- You can quickly familiarize with the content
- You have good analytical skills, you assimilate data quickly, gain insight and see the essence
- You are a good communicator, and you have the capacity to give your arguments in a structured way (both written and oral)
- Continuous learning is key in this dynamic changing field
- You are a team player across different departments
- You are fluent in English
- You are dynamic, proactive and driven
Nice to have:
- You have experience with one or more regulatory reporting streams for Banking (COREP Pilar1 or Pilar 2, experience in ALM(IRRBB), Liquidity, Pillar 3, SACCR, Operational risk, Market risk RWA) or Insurance business (e.g. Solvency 2)
- You have Banking functional knowledge: knowledge of the banking products and of main amounts and related financial or accounting concepts (e.g.: ability to understand differences between principal amount, market value, Gross carrying amount,…)
- You have working experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe..)
- You have working experience on data project
- You have knowledge of BCBS 239 principles
