YOUR TEAM

BlackRock’s Outsourced Platform Services (OPS) provides global middle- and back-office support for BlackRock Solutions’ outsourcing business, delivering operational excellence across trade support, transaction servicing, collateral management, data governance, payments, corporate actions, reconciliations, alternative operations, and investment accounting.

Global Client Alternative Services (GCAS), a specialized team within Tech & Ops under OPS, supports middle-office and outsourcing solutions for clients investing across Alternatives and Private Markets. The team is responsible for maintaining the integrity of cash and position data, partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to manage risk, support investment operations, and ensure the accuracy of portfolio records across complex alternative asset classes. GCAS plays a critical role in supporting BlackRock’s growing private markets platform through operational excellence, innovation, and client-focused service.

YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT

As an Associate within Global Client Alternative Services, you will support a broad range of private market and loan operations activities across alternative investment strategies. The role requires deep knowledge of private credit, real assets, project finance, and loan operations, combined with strong analytical, reconciliation, and exception management capabilities. You will work closely with clients, counterparties, agents, borrowers, and internal partners to ensure operational accuracy, manage risk, enhance controls, and support scalable operating models that drive exceptional client outcomes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:

• Apply expertise across private credit, real assets, project finance, structured credit, and syndicated loans to interpret legal documentation, provide operational guidance, and engage effectively with stakeholders, counterparties, borrowers, agents, and clients.

• Oversee settlement activities across alternative and private market instruments while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of portfolio structures, transaction documentation, and regulatory requirements.

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) and resolve cash, position, and transaction exceptions in a timely manner.

• Drive process automation, control enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives while leveraging loan servicing and operational platforms where applicable.

• Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while contributing to scalable, risk-aware operating models that support BlackRock’s private markets growth strategy.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated communication, stakeholder management, and client service skills with a proven ability to build effective relationships across a global organization.

• Strong understanding of investment management, banking operations, alternative investments, trading instruments, and settlement processes.

• Ability to operate effectively in high-volume, high-risk environments, balancing competing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

• Self-motivated team player who demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a willingness to contribute beyond core responsibilities.

• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and leverage diverse perspectives.

• Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional attention to detail; experience with loan operations platforms is a plus.
