Head of Franklin Crypto Capital Formation
The Head of Franklin Crypto Capital Formation function is dedicated to growing the firm’s investor base, driving capital formation and fostering robust, transparent, productive relationships with our investors. Our mission is to ensure that our Limited Partners (LPs) and other stakeholders, including the global distribution teams, are well-informed, engaged, and confident in their investments with Franklin Crypto. The team works collaboratively with the division’s leadership, investment professionals, global distribution team and external stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective investor relations strategy, one anchored in best-in-class client experience.
Our firm executes a diverse array of scalable, institutional investment strategies spanning open- and closed-end funds, including hedge funds, venture and private credit funds, across seed stage, early venture stage, and public crypto token and equity investing. The Capital Formation function serves to (a) lead capital formation across our full platform of cryptonative open- and closed-end funds, hedge funds, venture and private credit funds sourcing commitments from both cryptonative and traditional institutional allocators and (b) manage deep and productive relationships across the entirety of the LP base with a focus on securing additional tier 1, institutional long-term backers, and (c) deliver an excellent end-to-end investor experience by ensuring a seamless LP experience.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Crypto Capital Formation to lead fundraising across Franklin Crypto’s full fund platform, expand our institutional investor base, and own the end-to-end investor experience from first conversation through subscription, redemption, and ongoing servicing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in institutional fundraising and investor relations and servicing, a robust network of both cryptonative and traditional institutional investors and managers (including pensions, endowments, foundations, OCIOs, fund-of-funds, family offices, and crypto-native allocators), and a clear passion for the crypto and Web3 landscape. The role will report directly into the Head of Franklin Crypto.

Responsibilities Include
Capital Formation
Lead the end-to-end capital raising process across Franklin Crypto’s full platform of open- and closed-end funds, including hedge funds, venture funds, private credit and other alternative funds, building durable relationships with both cryptonative and traditional institutional investors.
Develop compelling investor presentations, reports, and other materials to effectively communicate investment strategies, performance, and opportunities.
Coordinate and manage investor meetings, roadshows, and other fundraising events.
Relationship Management
Serve as the primary liaison with Franklin Templeton’s global distribution team, ensuring they are updated and equipped with products, content and investment materials.
Maintain deep and productive relationships with LPs, ensuring consistent and effective communication.
Facilitate ongoing dialogue between the firm's leadership and the investor community.
Serve as the escalation point of contact for investor inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
Onboarding, Subscriptions & Client Experience
Working closely with Private Fund Services, ensure a frictionless investor onboarding experience, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to streamline KYC/AML, subscription documentation, and fund-administrator workflows across all vehicles.
Working closely with Private Fund Services, ensure a seamless subscription and redemption process for open- and closed-end funds end-to-end, ensuring accurate, timely execution and a high-touch experience that meets institutional standards.
Own the client experience from first conversation through ongoing servicing, building scalable systems, playbooks, and feedback loops that delight LPs and reinforce Franklin Crypto’s reputation for institutional excellence.
Reporting and Communications
Deliver timely and comprehensive updates on fund performance, market trends, and key developments within the firm and the broader crypto/Web3 ecosystem.
Produce regular newsletters and other communications to keep investors informed and engaged.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.
Investor Education
Educate global institutional investors on crypto markets, investment strategies, and the potential risks and rewards.
Organize and conduct educational webinars and events to deepen investor understanding and engagement.
Internal Distribution Education
Educate Franklin Templeton’s global distribution teams on crypto markets, investment strategies, and the potential risks and rewards.
Organize and conduct educational webinars and events to deepen the distribution team’s understanding and engagement.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role
Proven track record of successfully raising capital across multiple fund structures and owning ongoing LP relationship management.
Minimum of 10+ years experience in Investor Relations and/or Business Development and training from a top tier firm.
Demonstrated interest in blockchain, crypto or web3.
Established network and credibility across both cryptonative LPs and traditional institutional allocators.
Working knowledge of fund operations across hedge fund and venture fund structures.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Evidence of working in a collegial and fast growth environment.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Strengths
Prior role in Capital Formation at a crypto firm.
Experience raising capital across a multi-strategy platform spanning open-end, closed-end, hedge, and venture vehicles.
Direct experience overseeing investor onboarding and subscription/redemption operations.
Series 7 and 63 (or willingness to obtain).
