Job Description

We have an outstanding benefits package which includes:

Your Team:

The Advanced Engineer is a solutions-focused, delivery-oriented role, responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems across the Investment Technology platform. With hands-on skills in at least one programming language (e.g. Python), modern web/UI frameworks such as Streamlit or ReactJS, and at least one database platform such as Snowflake or PostgreSQL, they will join a squad designing, developing and supporting solutions that advance business capabilities in Investment Technology, applying AI-assisted tooling and techniques where they add value.

Working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to build, test, deployment and support, the Advanced Engineer is expected to act with a degree of independence, while referring more complex problems to the Senior Engineering Manager or other subject matter experts. Their primary focus is on execution within defined parameters, applying modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability and data quality controls. They may also be accountable for regular reporting or process administration within the squad.

Working in partnership with more experienced staff, their responsibilities will expand based on developing capabilities, including growing exposure to AI/ML and GenAI approaches. A key part of the role is collaborating with colleagues across Investment Technology & Distributions, Cloud Teams, and Tech departments including Enterprise Architecture to ensure designs align with enterprise standards, security and the wider Investments strategy.

Disability Confident Scheme

Applicants who opt in to the Disability Confident Scheme and meet the ‘minimum criteria’ for the role will be offered an interview. We are committed to providing an inclusive recruitment process for all candidates who make an application. By opting-in to this scheme, applicants will be disclosing that they have a disability solely for the purpose of the Disability Confident Scheme.

The Disability Confident Scheme only guarantees an interview – it does not automatically mean that applicants interviewed will gain employment with Invesco at that time.

To apply through the Disability Confident Scheme, you’ll need to firstly ensure you have applied for the role via our external careers page. Following this, you’ll need to email us at EMEA-TalentAcquisition@invesco.com confirming your wish to opt-in, alongside your contact details and the title of the role you wish to apply for.
