Role Purpose
The Depository Participants (DP) specialist key role is to focus on below Product sales and compliance activities related to demat account holders (3-in-1 or corporate) to cater to the growing business volume.
Product Sales
• Depository Services sales and support.
• Ensure validity and completeness of transactions processed and ensure charges levied as authorized.
• Liaison with stakeholders/segments for customer requests/ queries resolution.
• Take initiatives to create awareness of the Product across Bank segments.
• Support channels for timely resolution of customer complaints.
Product Management & Compliance
• Identify new product opportunities
• Implement process revisions as per the regulatory circulars issued by SEBI & NSDL and other authorities.
• Set up processes to streamline existing operations for Demat customers. Liaise with DP Operations team on new process implementation
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Compliance, Legal, Marketing & Tech team
• Address the frontline queries and resolve compliance issues with regards to Demat account
• Monitor product performance and Key business KPIs and publish to the stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Individual contributor role focused on DP product support, client impact, regulatory risk management and frontline capability. The role holder will support others through specialist advice, training and governance input, without direct people management accountability.
Product Sales
• Depository Services sales and support for individual and corporate account opening.
• Ensure demat client requests are completed E2E including share transfer transactions, DRFs, Static Data change requests etc.
• Ensure validity and completeness of transactions processed and ensure fees, charges etc. are authorized by appropriate authorities.
• Liaison with stakeholders/segments for customer requests/ queries resolution.
• Take initiatives to create awareness of the Product across Bank segments.
• Support channels for timely resolution of customer complaints.
Compliance
• Co-ordination with multiple stakeholders from SCB and SCSI for implementation of regulatory circulars received from SEBI, NSDL & CDSL
Product Management
• Implement process revisions as per the regulatory circulars issued by SEBI & NSDL and other authorities.
• Set up processes to streamline existing operations for Demat customers. Liaise with DP Operations team on new process implementation
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including Compliance, Legal, Marketing & Tech team
• Handling customer and regulator escalations and audits.
Skills and Experience
Must-have Skills
• Domain Expertise: Demat Product Knowledge & experience
• Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (SEBI/NSDL/CDSL)

Qualifications
Key Experiences:
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Depository Products
• Experience in client-facing roles teams and familiarity with the operational mechanics of SEBI, NSDL and CDSL
Certifications / Qualifications (only where mandatory):
• CA / CS / CFA / MBA Finance preferred.
• NISM-Series VI (Depository Operations Certification Examination) certification
Languages:
• English: Expert
• Hindi or relevant local Indian language: preferred for client engagement.
• Ability to draft clear internal and client-facing regulatory communication.
