Who we are looking for
The Vice President, Corporate Compliance serves as the senior compliance executive for State Street's Canadian operations, providing independent oversight of regulatory compliance risk across regulated and non-regulated legal entities. As Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for State Street Trust Company Canada and State Street Bank and Trust Company Canada Branch, the role is responsible for leading the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) framework and ensuring compliance with applicable federal and provincial laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry standards.


The role operates independently from business management and provides objective oversight, challenge, strategic advice and reporting to Boards of Directors, Board Committees, senior management, and regulatory authorities. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's regulatory compliance, reputation, and governance standards while supporting strategic business objectives across Canada.  The position also serves as Chief Privacy Officer and Complaints Officer for Canadian operations.


The role serves as a Compliance central point of contact for four legal entities in Canada.
