About the Department
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team serves as a strategic finance partner across Franklin Templeton. The team delivers financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and strategic analysis that help senior leaders make informed business decisions. Working closely with Finance and business partners across the firm, the team evaluates performance, supports strategic initiatives, and provides actionable insights that drive growth and operational excellence. You will gain exposure to senior leadership, high-impact projects, and key business decisions in a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
How You Will Add Value
Core Responsibilities
Support monthly financial reporting and performance analysis.
Analyze results against forecasts, budgets, and prior periods.
Prepare variance analyses and executive reporting materials.
Support forecasting activities and business planning processes.
Assess key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Build and maintain financial models.
Evaluate forecast scenarios and business cases.
Strategic Responsibilities
Support quarterly earnings and investor relations activities.
Participate in earnings preparation discussions.
Track strategic initiatives and measure financial impact.
Identify emerging trends and performance drivers.
Translate analysis into actionable business insights.
Improve reporting and forecasting processes through automation.
Team & Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, and business teams.
Gather inputs and challenge key assumptions.
Support senior management presentations and decision-making.
Manage competing priorities during critical reporting cycles.
Contribute ideas that enhance financial processes and controls.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role
Experience, Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar field.
5+ years of experience in finance or analytical roles.
Experience in FP&A, corporate strategy, investment banking, equity research, or related fields.
Experience supporting forecasting, reporting, and financial modelling.
Experience preparing executive-level presentations and business cases.
Experience supporting earnings, investor relations, or Board reporting.
Industry experience in asset management or financial services is preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of financial statements and performance metrics.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
Experience with planning and reporting systems.
Experience with Workday Adaptive, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Soft Skills
Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
Clear and effective communication abilities.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
Ability to influence decisions with data-driven insights.

Work Schedule & Location
Location: New York, NY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

We expect the base salary for this position to range between $160,000 - $180,000, depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
