Who we are…

BMO is a leading North American bank driven by our purpose: to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life. Our purpose informs our strategy, drives our ambition, and reinforces our commitments to progress for a thriving economy, a sustainable future and stronger communities.

The U.S. Relationship Marketing Team is accountable for the strategy, development, execution and ongoing optimization of go-to-market campaigns and programs targeting current BMO clients through onboarding, account/product and service activation, digital adoption, engagement, cross-sell, loyalty and retention; and lending new-to-bank acquisition.

Who you are…

You’re a high-performing, data-savvy and results-driven marketing leader interested in providing collaborative and consultative value for our partners—to help them drive strong client, account and revenue growth across our U.S. Consumer Lending and Payments/Card portfolios. You’re a dynamic, capable and experienced marketer with a passion for problem solving—based in data-driven analysis. You’re fascinated by client behavior and always looking for new and innovative approaches to reach and engage our audiences in innovative and impactful ways.

You have proven success leading high-performing marketing teams supporting acquisition, onboarding, activation, engagement, cross-sell, loyalty and retention marketing initiatives. You work well in a fast-paced environment where priorities and direction evolve frequently to ensure we’re always providing the best products, services and offers to our clients. You thrive off ambiguity and are adept at bringing together multiple ideas and data points and synthesizing them into a unified point of view and client-centric approach. Most of all you value being part of a team—and working together to ensure every job is done right, and done well.

Role Description

As a member of the Relationship Marketing leadership team, you will lead our Consumer Lending and Payments/Card marketing team and serve as the primary leader driving marketing strategy and tactical execution for all marketing initiatives. Your team will serve as the key liaison between our partners, our marketing and a variety of cross-team collaborative stakeholders to deliver successful client, account, balance and revenue growth for our lending and payments teams.

Your team will develop integrated, omnichannel marketing strategies and bring campaigns to life in partnership with a mix of internal and agency/vendor partners to grow our U.S. P&BB portfolio in strategic and sustainable ways. You’ll mentor and be accountable for your team developing and delivering compelling insight-driven briefs to produce effective marketing campaigns—from start to finish—that deliver not only on our marketing KPIs, but that drive our business KPIs forward for annual and five-year goals, as well.

You’ll be responsible for your team building and maintaining strong, trusted and collaborative relationships with your business partners to ensure clear alignment on their key performance goals, and partner with them to forecast the impact of different levels of spend and performance across a wide range of media mix channels. You’ll also be responsible for driving accurate and timely analysis of marketing and business performance data to understand our success and identify opportunities and surveying the competitive landscape to ensure our marketing persuades our clients to fully understand and appreciate how BMO helps them to make real financial progress—and encourages them to stay with BMO!
