Define the future of marketing in financial services. As a Director within Deloitte Digital's Experience & Marketing Transformation team, you will be the market-making leader for Financial Services marketing transformation — shaping our FS-specific proposition, originating and winning significant engagements, and building the trusted C-suite relationships that establish Deloitte as the definitive partner for marketing transformation across banking, insurance, wealth management, and capital markets. 

This is a role for a proven FS transformation leader with a deep understanding of what it takes to drive marketing change in one of the world's most complex, regulated, and rapidly evolving industries. You will bring fluency across the FS marketing landscape - from regulatory marketing obligations and Consumer Duty to open banking customer engagement, real-time personalisation, and AI-driven marketing in regulated environments and the commercial track record to turn that expertise into lasting client relationships and material business growth. 

You will work at the heart of Deloitte's Financial Services practice, collaborating across Deloitte's FS industry teams, Technology & Transformation, and Regulatory & Legal capabilities to bring uniquely integrated perspectives to the marketing transformation challenges facing the UK's leading financial institutions.

You will work alongside world-class digital talent and collaborate across Deloitte's full Financial Services and Technology capability ecosystem to bring integrated, differentiated solutions to market. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Define and drive Deloitte Digital's marketing transformation proposition for Financial Services clients, identifying emerging trends, regulatory developments, and whitespace opportunities that position our FS offering for sustained market leadership across banking, insurance, wealth management, and capital markets. 
• Originate, shape, and close significant marketing transformation opportunities within the FS sector, leading proposal development, commercial structuring, and executive-level negotiations with CMO, CDO, CRO, and CEO stakeholders at major UK financial institutions. 
• Build and deepen trusted, strategic relationships with senior marketing and digital leaders across the UK financial services industry, positioning Deloitte as the definitive partner for organisations seeking to transform their marketing capabilities within regulated environments. 
• Oversee the delivery of complex, multi-workstream marketing transformation programmes for FS clients, ensuring regulatory compliance throughout delivery, commercial performance, client satisfaction, and programme quality. 
• Champion FS marketing thought leadership and external eminence, publishing perspectives on topics such as Consumer Duty marketing implications, open banking customer engagement, real-time personalisation within regulatory guardrails, vulnerability identification in marketing, and AI-driven marketing in financial services. 
• Build, develop, and inspire the FS marketing practice within Deloitte Digital, creating clear career development pathways, fostering an inclusive and high-performing team culture, and developing the next generation of FS marketing transformation leaders. 
• Collaborate across Deloitte's Financial Services Industry practice, Regulatory & Legal, Technology & Transformation, and broader service lines to craft integrated, cross-functional propositions that address the full complexity of FS marketing transformation challenges. 

Connect to your skills and professional experience 

To excel in this role, you will bring a broad and proven track record specifically within Financial Services marketing transformation, with the deep industry fluency, regulatory awareness, commercial leadership, and C-suite relationship depth required to lead and grow a specialist FS practice. 

You will bring: 

• A proven track record in marketing transformation within Financial Services, with experience spanning senior client-side marketing leadership in banking, insurance, or wealth management, or management consulting at Director level with a clear FS specialisation. 
• Established success originating, shaping, and closing significant FS transformation engagements, with a history of commercial achievement and the ability to grow and manage a portfolio of senior FS client relationships. 
• Deep expertise in the Financial Services marketing landscape, including a strong working knowledge of regulatory obligations governing FS marketing — including Consumer Duty and fair value outcome requirements, FCA financial promotions regulations, and data privacy obligations under UK GDPR — and the ability to design marketing transformation solutions that are both commercially compelling and compliant. 
• Proven understanding of FS-specific marketing transformation challenges, including legacy data infrastructure and data silo resolution, consent and preference management at scale, real-time personalisation within regulatory guardrails, open banking and open finance customer engagement opportunities, and inclusive marketing and vulnerability identification. 
• A proven ability to cultivate and sustain C-suite relationships within UK financial institutions (CMO, CDO, CRO, CEO), acting as a trusted strategic advisor with the ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments and long-term client relationships. 
• A clear track record of building and leading high-performing teams within a specialist practice context, developing FS marketing talent, creating inclusive cultures, and enabling career progression for high-potential individuals. 
• An established profile in the UK Financial Services marketing community, with evidence of thought leadership, industry engagement, and professional reputation that differentiates Deloitte in competitive FS pursuits (desirable). 
• Familiarity with FS-relevant marketing technology platforms and data architecture, including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, CDP implementations within FS regulatory constraints, and AI-driven personalisation in regulated marketing environments (desirable). 
• Understanding of open banking and open finance data frameworks and their implications for customer engagement and personalised marketing in financial services (desirable). 
• Experience managing commercial performance including revenue targets, practice margin, and investment decisions in a consulting or in-house leadership context (desirable). 
• Confidence using AI tools and LLMs strategically — both in client engagements and in driving practice innovation in the FS marketing context.

We are subject to several audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
