What you'll be doing
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Data & Information Governance Framework across UniCredit Bulbank and its subsidiaries.
- Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of data governance principles, standards, policies, and controls.
- Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to promote data accountability, ownership, and stewardship practices across the organization.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor data quality controls, checks, dashboards, and key data quality indicators.
- Analyze data quality issues and investigate deviations from established thresholds through data profiling, root cause analysis, and impact assessments.
- Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement remediation actions aimed at improving data quality and strengthening governance controls.
- Participate in initiatives related to metadata management, business glossary maintenance, data lineage documentation, and critical data element management.
- Support data governance activities related to regulatory and managerial reporting, ensuring data consistency, completeness, accuracy, and traceability.
- Contribute to local and Group-wide projects focused on enhancing data management capabilities, reporting tools, governance processes, and reporting engines.
- Prepare governance reports, monitor compliance with data governance requirements, and support governance committees and decision-making bodies.
- Identify and propose opportunities for process optimization, simplification, and automation within the data management lifecycle.
- Promote a data-driven culture and increase awareness of Data Governance principles and best practices throughout the organization.
What you'll need to succeed
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics or a related field;
- At least 2 years of experience in Data Governance/ Data Analysis/Business Analysis or in Financial/Managerial or Risk Reporting;
- Strong banking experience;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, intellectual curiosity;
- Excellent command of English and Bulgarian;
- Proactive and dynamic personality.
