Job Title: Project Manager – AI for Operations (Vice President)

Department: Markets Operations

About Business line/Function: Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) division plays a key role in global financial markets, offering trading, investment, and advisory services. Within CIB, Market Operations are divided into 3 product value chains & 3 cross-business departments. Trade Processing – Listed Derivatives, Securities and Prime and FXMM & OTCD Support are the product chains with Cross Business Lifecycle, Collateral & Treasury Forecasting and Liquidity Monitoring and Valuation & Transversal Services being the cross-department functions.

We aim to streamline processes, ensure service continuity, deliver best-in-class client service, lead innovative operations and foster expertise and innovation among our teams in a rapidly evolving context. AI for Ops is launching a Global AI for Operations programme.

Position Purpose: The Project Manager will own the end-to-end delivery of AI solution deployments across the Market Operations departments, ensuring they are built, tested, validated, and rolled out in strict accordance with the programme’s governance framework.

You will work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, partnering with data scientists, domain experts, IT teams, and senior business sponsors. Success will be measured by on-time, on-budget delivery, adoption rates, and the tangible business benefits (cost-savings, risk reduction/accuracy, turnaround-time) realized by each solution.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain the detailed AI implementation roadmap (phases, milestones, dependencies) for each Market-Operations domain.
• Coordinate the design, build, test, and deployment of AI solutions (APIs, Logic test, UAT, UI integrations).
• Manage day-to-day project activities (task assignments, issue & risk logs, change requests).
• Control programme budget and resource planning, reporting variance and forecasting.
• Drive post-implementation monitoring (KPIs, user feedback, lessons-learned workshops) and schedule.
• Establish and maintain the programme governance structure (Steering Committee, Domain Workstream Steer-Cos, weekly operational reviews).
• Facilitate all governance meetings (agenda, minutes, decisions, action ownership, ETA).
• Secure and manage senior sponsorship – keep sponsors informed of strategic alignment, risks, dependencies, escalations, and ROI.
• Build strong relationships with functional owners (Market Operations) and ensure their active participation throughout the project.
• Develop and execute a change-management plan (training, user-adoption metrics).
• Understand the fundamentals of machine-learning pipelines and data-quality concepts enough to ask the right questions and translate technical outcomes into business impact.

Specific Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related). Advanced degree (MSc, MBA) preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in project management, preferably in financial services or AI/operations transformation.
• Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of Market Operations (trading, settlement, securities-processing, FXMM-OTC, P&L/valuation). Experience in one or more of these domains is a plus.

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Technical Skills:

• AI/ML Fundamentals (basic understanding of pipelines, data quality) – Understanding how AI/ML models are built, trained, and deployed, along with ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Market Operations Processes (trade capture, settlement, valuation) – Managing the lifecycle of trades, from recording (capture) to finalizing (settlement) and determining their financial worth (valuation).
• Project Management Tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) – Using software like JIRA or MS Project to track tasks, deadlines, and resources for efficient project execution.
• Agile/Iterative Delivery Methodologies – Delivering work in flexible, incremental phases (sprints) with continuous feedback and adaptation.
• Budget & Resource Forecasting – Estimating costs and allocating resources (people, tools, time) to ensure projects stay on track financially.

• Analytical Ability – Breaking down complex information into actionable insights using data and logical reasoning.
• Ability to develop and adapt a process – Designing or refining workflows to improve efficiency, compliance, or automation.

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Advanced degree preferred)
