ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  None

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with Engineering, Prototype, and Production groups, and other plant and office personnel.  Attention to detail and accuracy.  Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of the different rubber presses. 

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:

Required 

Bachelor's degree in rubber engineering or related technical field. 

Preferred:

10 years related experience and/or training in Rubber Process Engineering, or manufacturing systems or equivalent experience.

Six Sigma Training, Green Belt or Black Belt

Lean Manufacturing Certification. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Engineering Level Mathematics 

Statistics 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Microsoft Office &  Basic CAD

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define root cause to problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for the repair of the issue.

Employee will be required to travel occasionally for day trips.

The employee will be in a shared office (cubicle) environment. It oftentimes becomes loud and distracting. There may be occasions where the employee will have tasks to perform in a Laboratory environment and a Manufacturing environment, where Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses and Safety Shoes are required.
