Digital Communications Officer (m/f/d) - 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a Digital Communications Officer (m/f/d), based in Munich or London for a 2 year fixed term contract.

We are also open to receiving applications from other locations within Europe and UK (Paris or Madrid).

Your Team

The Communications team at Allianz Commercial consists of global and regional specialists focusing on four key areas: Internal Communications, Media Relations & External Communications, Digital Communications, and Content & Thought Leadership. We cover an extraordinary range of topics and challenges and no day is the same.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, and working under the day to day direction of the Senior Global Digital Communications Officer, you will focus on digital communications globally (website, newsletters, intranet and social media) as part of a small, collaborative digital team. Beyond digital, you'll contribute across external communications, content, and internal/change communications working closely with stakeholders across Allianz Commercial and Allianz Group.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Digital Communications (General)

• Develop and coordinate Allianz Commercial's digital channels — website, LinkedIn, intranet, and email newsletters
• Drive content strategy, explore new tools and formats, and manage analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with stakeholders, agencies, and Allianz Group partners to maintain brand and editorial standards

Website

• Manage and publish content via Adobe Experience Manager, including articles, insights, and multimedia
• Optimise for search (SEO/GEO) and monitor performance to improve user experience

Intranet (Connect)

• Publish engaging internal content, support platform development, and train editors
• Monitor engagement analytics to continuously improve effectiveness

Email Newsletters (Adobe Campaign)

• Build and distribute campaigns including segmentation, testing, and deployment
• Track performance metrics and ensure GDPR compliance

Social Media (LinkedIn)

• Draft and schedule posts, create visual assets, and develop thought leadership content with senior leaders
• Monitor performance and support paid campaigns where required

Digital Projects & Events

• Support video/podcast production, virtual and in-person events, AI applications, and major initiatives like the Allianz Risk Barometer
• Provide project support across the global communications team, including non-digital activities

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Experience

• 3+ years' experience in a professional communications role, ideally in an international environment working with senior stakeholders
• 1–3 years' solid experience in digital communications, including platform management, social media, content management, and familiarity with AI in a digital comms setting (e.g. GEO, Agents)

Skills

• Strong planning, copywriting, and research skills with the ability to work accurately on tight deadlines and a hands-on 'get it done' attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural relationship management skills, with determination, drive, and a strong focus on delivery
• Good sense of humour and resilience in the face of challenges
• Strong IT/digital competence in MS Office, with the ability to quickly learn new applications (e.g. DTP, Photoshop, CMS, web analytics)
• A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.  

Technical

• Experience in website editing, content management, and user experience
• Social media experience in a B2B context
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager and related tools (e.g. Adobe Campaign) is an advantage
• Familiarity with multimedia applications (video, design, data visualisation) is an advantage

Education & Languages

• Degree in journalism, communications/marketing, or a relevant field
• English (required); other European languages are helpful
• German is valuable for the role
