About the Job

As a Solution Architect at Allianz Technology, you will define and govern the end-to-end architecture for one or more CRM and sales-focused product tribes within SDW (Sales Digital Workstation), aligning squads around a clear target state and engineering guardrails. You will translate business and customer outcomes into modular, scalable, secure architectures, guide solution choices across squads, and ensure non-functional requirements—availability, performance, security, observability, and cost efficiency—are met. Partnering closely with Product Owners, Chapter Leads, Security, and Enterprise Architecture, you will drive architectural runway, manage cross-team technical dependencies, and coach engineers to deliver high-quality, cloud-native solutions that power world-class digital sales experiences for Allianz agents worldwide.

What you do 

• Own the tribe's target architecture and roadmaps for SDW platform capabilities, services, and integrations across multiple Operating Entities (OEs).
• Define architecture principles, patterns, and guardrails (APIs, event driven architecture, data, security) and ensure adoption across squads.
• Guide solution design for new and evolving SDW capabilities (Angular micro frontends, Spring Boot services, BFF pattern); run design reviews and ensure NFRs are engineered in.
• Align with Enterprise Architecture, CISO, and Platform teams on standards (cloud, networking, IAM via GIAM, API gateway via Apigee, observability via Dynatrace).
• Orchestrate cross-squad dependencies and shared components (AppShell, EPCs, shared Kafka topics); reduce tech debt through incremental modernization.
• Promote domain-driven design, microservices, BFF patterns, and API-first approaches for scalable, resilient backends and Angular-based micro frontends.
• Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), IaC (Terraform/Helm), and SRE practices (reliability, performance, cost optimization).
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers and chapter architects; elevate engineering quality.
• Leverage data and AI-assisted insights (e.g., Dynatrace telemetry, defect patterns) to inform architecture decisions and automation.

What you bring 

• Extensive experience as a Solution/Domain/Tribe Architect leading large-scale digital platforms or CRM systems in an Agile at-scale environment (e.g., SAFe).
• Deep knowledge of web application architectures (Angular, Micro Frontend/AppShell patterns), API-first and event-driven designs (Kafka, CISL), and integration patterns (BFF, EPC/Anti-Corruption Layer, MFE, Apigee API Gateway); strong domain-driven design skills.
• Cloud architecture expertise (AWS EKS, containers/Kubernetes, Helm), infrastructure code (Terraform); strong CI/CD and DevSecOps mindset.
• Security and privacy by design (OAuth2/OIDC, OWASP, data protection) plus observability (Dynatrace, logging, metrics, tracing) and performance engineering.
• Proven stakeholder leadership and influencing skills across Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations; excellent English communication.
• Ability to produce pragmatic architecture artifacts (reference architectures, standards, roadmaps) and drive adoption.
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
