Analyst — Centre of Excellence –Q&R AAQR

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) team in Hyderabad plays a pivotal role in driving Deloitte success by delivering support across a range of functions. There are 6 distinct CoEs empowering various capabilities—including Reporting & Analytics, Finance, Quality & Risk, IT Services, Marketing, and Talent—ensuring seamless operations and strategic advancement.

Within the Quality & Risk (Q&R) CoE, dedicated sub-teams deliver targeted services such as reporting analytics, Partner Dashboard support, comprehensive due diligence for engagements and clients, conflict management, Personal Independence & Risk Solutions at green dot level.

The role of AAQR

Audit & Assurance Quality & Risk (AAQR) provides technical audit support including:

·       Keeping audit practitioners up to date with the requirements of Auditing Standards and other professional standards

·       Providing technical assistance on the application of the Deloitte Audit Approach Manual and Deloitte Policy Manual

·       Reporting and Compliance check of audit engagements

·       Development and/or implementation of audit related policies and procedures

·       Managing internal reviews and regulatory inspections

·       Response to/approval of audit related queries and documents

Work you will do

AAQR - Diagnostics

·       Preparation of reports and analysis of data on a weekly basis to identify anomalies and follow up with the relevant practitioners to resolve.

·       Respond to email enquiries from the practice in relation to the data analysis that has been completed

·       Understand the reporting requirements of AU stakeholders, create ad hoc reports and interactive dashboards for business leaders using Excel and Power BI.

·       Actively participate in all recurring weekly calls with leadership and provide quality inputs, which enables them to take business decisions.

·       Ensure that all the process related documents are up-to date.

·       Attend training sessions for technical and personal development as necessary

Work location: Hyderabad

Shift timings: 6.30 AM to 3.30 PM

Key Skills Required:

·       Advanced MS Excel skill is a must: Ability to analyze large datasets, design new reports, and automate processes using Excel. Experience with VBA for automation is an advantage.

·       Strong Power BI skill is a must: Ability to build, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and visualizations for business reporting and decision-making.

·       PowerPoint Skills: Strong exposure in preparing PowerPoint presentations, ability to analyse and interpret data in excel into charts in PowerPoint.

·       Strong data analytics skills: Ability to interpret, analyze, and draw actionable insights from complex datasets, and effectively apply problem-solving skills to address and resolve business challenges.

·       The individual should be able to do multi-tasking and must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines.

·       Proactive in all communications - Ability to document and communicate the results of reviews in an efficient and effective manner, using language and style suitable for all levels and positions of Deloitte personnel.

·       Strong communication skills— Both verbal and written and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with other team members.

·       Good telephonic skills as it is required to have weekly calls with various stakeholders. Candidates need to have client centric focus.

·       Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow work programs with a high degree of accuracy.

·       Ability to challenge the status quo and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.

·       Shows initiative and is proactive in seeking resolution of issues and in learning the business of the Assurance & Advisory and Deloitte

·       Ability to adapt to changing work environment (shows flexibility), work under pressure with sense of urgency, and meet tight deadlines. The individual should be comfortable in working for long hours during the peak period.

Qualifications

Required

·        Graduate/Post Graduate (B.Com, BA, BBA) with Financial Background and strong analytical skills

Preferred

·        Excellent Excel and Power BI skills, with strong computer proficiency

Team player with a positive attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
