Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:    

DB Corporate Bank occupies a global leading position in the areas of Corporate Cash Management, Trade Finance, Lending and Structured Products (TFL) and Institutional Cash & Investor Services for corporate customers such as financial institutions. DB Corporate Bank's wide range of innovative and market-leading products for its customers is guaranteed by a highly qualified and experienced team of specialists in product development, structuring and product sales. The TFL area is particularly important in the development and global provision of tailor-made financing solutions.

Cross-Product Structuring is a new, dedicated unit within TFL that is holistically responsible for identifying, developing, structuring and successfully implementing complex customer situations and customized products across all TFL product areas and asset classes. In addition, cross-product structuring is responsible for the further development and operationalization of future TFL product ideas as well as support in optimizing the TFL infrastructure. Cross-Product Structuring has a mandate to develop new products and client solutions to drive revenue. In addition, works closely with the existing structuring teams and risk functions in the respective TFL product areas, corporate coverage, all 2nd-line functions and product management

The role is responsible for developing strategy and performing business development for core trade finance and lending products, and structured debt solutions for large corporate clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive revenue growth, portfolio quality and client engagement for the Core Trade Finance and International Lending business. The role is responsible for developing strategy and performing business development for core trade finance and lending products, and structured debt solutions for large corporate clients. 

• Identify market opportunities and develop innovative product propositions aligned with client needs and business strategy. 

• Ensure sound risk management while partnering closely with Coverage, Risk, Operations and Product teams.

• Originate, structure, and execute flow and complex trade finance and lending transactions, including working capital, supply chain finance, receivables finance, structured trade and cross border financing solutions. Prior origination and transaction structuring experience with large cap corporate clients with headquarters in China.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to originate financing business and build senior client relationship.

• Deep understanding of credit, trade finance and credit products, risk management, regulatory requirements, and Greater China Banking landscape.

Your Skills and experience:

• 8-12 years of experience in core trade finance, lending and structured credit solutions within an international or regional financial institution

• Proven track record in originating, structuring and executing core trade finance, lending and structured credit solutions for multinational corporations, large local corporates and financial institutions.

• Track record of leading a high performing team. Responsible for providing strategic leadership to a team of product specialists and RMs, fostering a high performance, collaborative and client centric culture. 

• Strong expertise across full suite of credit solutions, core trade finance and lending products, and extensive experience in structuring secured and unsecured lending facilities,

• Demonstrated ability to structure bespoke financing solutions and strong credit analytical skills

• Sound understanding of transaction risk, counterparty risk and non-financial risk

• Proven business development capability with an established set of corporate clients in Mainland China and Hong Kong

• Experience leading negotiation on transaction structuring, with strong leadership capability  

• Fluent in both mandarin and English, with the ability to conduct business negotiations and manage client relationships in both languages

• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
