Digital Factory Deploy Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
The Digital Factory Deploy Engineer owns the creation and deployment of site-specific applications and the rollout of Unilever Masterapps. This role also leads the management of on-premises and cloud-based databases, ensuring data integrity and availability. A critical responsibility is capability building, ensuring that site teams are trained and empowered to sustain digital solutions long-term.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Development & Deployment
- Create and deploy applications that address site operational needs.
- Lead the deployment of Unilever Masterapps, ensuring compliance with global standards.
- Validate application performance and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Database Management
- Manage on-premises and cloud-based databases, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
- Implement backup, recovery, and monitoring processes.
- Support data analytics initiatives by ensuring clean and accessible datasets.
Pilot Project Leadership
- Lead digital pilot projects that introduce new systems or applications to BWPC-Cavite.
- Ensure pilots align with Unilever’s digital transformation roadmap.
- Deliver pilots On Time In Full (OTIF) with measurable outcomes.
Capability Building & Training
- Develop and deliver structured training programs for Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians (E&I) and Operation System Owners (OSOs).
- Ensure site teams are competent in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting deployed applications.
- Embed knowledge transfer as a mandatory step in project completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT, Operations, Engineering, Safety and Quality teams to ensure successful deployments.
- Provide regular updates in digital governance forums.
- Act as a change agent, promoting digital adoption across the site workforce.
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Successful deployment of Unilever Masterapps and site-specific applications.
- Fully trained E&I Technicians and Operations System Owners for every deployed application.
- Reliable and secure management of on-prem and cloud databases.
- Documented improvements in efficiency, data integrity, and digital adoption.
- Clear communication of project outcomes in governance reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Automation, or related field.
- Technical Expertise: Application development tools, database platforms (SQL, Oracle, cloud DBs), cloud services (Azure, AWS), and integration frameworks.
- Relevant IT or cloud certifications (preferred)

- Amenable to work in General Trias, Cavite
