Java Backend Developer

About the Job:
As a Java Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and managing the contract workflow within the Allianz Business System (Airwave), specifically working with the Allianz-internal A3K Framework. Furthermore, you will support the team by developing contract portals and online journeys. Your expertise in backend development will be essential in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of the system, allowing for seamless operations and improved user experience. You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
What You Do:
Develop and enhance backend solutions for contract portals using Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3+.
Enhance and manage the contract workflow within the Allianz Business System.
Focus on backend development for the Allianz Business System (Airwave) and online journeys.
Develop external web services for brokers and broker platforms.
Implement best practices in REST, SOAP, JSON, YAML, and XML for seamless integration.
Utilize Git/Github for version control and Docker for containerization.
Work with SQL databases (DB2, Postgres) to manage and manipulate data.
Leverage CoPilot/Claude Code for code assistance and Maven for project management.
Deploy applications using Kubernetes/AWS and automate processes with Jenkins/Github Actions/Nexus.
Use development tools such as VSCode/Intellij/Eclipse and manage authentication with Keycloak.
Monitor application performance using Dynatrace and manage tasks with Jira/Confluence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business requirements.
What You Bring:
Proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+ for backend development.
Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, YAML, and XML.
Familiarity with Git/Github, Docker, SQL (DB2, Postgres), ElasticSearch, and Redis/Valkey.
Knowledge of CoPilot/Claude Code, Maven, Kubernetes/AWS, Jenkins/Github Actions/Nexus.
Experience with development tools such as VSCode/Intellij/Eclipse and Keycloak.
Ability to monitor application performance using Dynatrace and manage tasks with Jira/Confluence.
Agile way of working and English proficiency at B2 level.
Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
Nice to have:
German language skills are an advantage
Experience in A3K Framework / Airwave / CISL API
Experience with OSGi is a plus
Experience with Angular 19+ and Typescript for frontend support
