This role is responsible for providing expert 2LoD Financial Crime oversight and advisory support across the Group Financial Crime Framework, with a particular focus on Corporate Functions. In addition, the role works closely with the Team Lead to help ensure compliance with applicable UK and international regulatory requirements and alignment with the M&G Policy and Governance Framework.

Acting as the senior Financial Crime adviser and key escalation point for Corporate Functions, the role provides expert advice, guidance and challenge on financial crime risks, regulatory obligations, policies, standards and control requirements. The role supports Corporate Functions in identifying, assessing and managing financial crime risks and embedding appropriate controls in line with Group Financial Crime requirements.

Working closely with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance and Corporate Functions, the role contributes to the development and enhancement of financial crime governance, risk appetite, training and regulatory obligations frameworks. The individual will work closely with the Team Lead to help coordinate delivery of key priorities, support governance activities and contribute to the effective operation of the Group Financial Crime Function.

The role acts as a senior escalation point for financial crime matters relating to Corporate Functions and serves as a subject matter expert across anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), tax evasion facilitation (TEF), sanctions and fraud.
