Within the Group Chief Sustainability Officer function, we are looking for a proactive and motivated intern to join the Sustainable Innovation & Stakeholder Engagement team.
The intern will support research, analysis, and knowledge-building activities on key sustainability, risk, and innovation topics relevant to the insurance and investment business. The role will contribute to the development of internal insights, technical content, and analytical materials to support strategic decision-making across the Group.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Support knowledge and capability-building initiatives, contributing to internal toolkits, briefings, and learning materials
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainability and risk-related topics, including:
- Electric mobility and the energy transition
- Natural catastrophe risk, climate hazards, and resilience
- Demographic trends and societal risks
- Climate transition and physical risks relevant to insurance and investments
- Perform benchmarking and quantitative analysis of market trends, peers, and regulatory developments
- Prepare presentations, briefing notes, and analytical materials for internal stakeholders and senior management
- Support collaboration and knowledge sharing across Group functions, country teams, and technical experts
- Assist in organizing and documenting workshops, working sessions, and technical meetings
- University student or recent graduate in Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or a related field
- Strong interest in sustainability, climate and risk analytics, and the role of insurance in addressing environmental and societal challenges
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative information
- Strong data analysis capabilities; advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Familiarity with datasets, dashboards, or analytical tools is a plus
- Ability to synthesize complex topics and translate technical information into clear, actionable insights for different audiences
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word, with the ability to create professional presentations and reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a structured and problem-solving mindset
Preferred qualifications
Demonstrated interest or academic exposure to one or more of the following areas:
- Climate and natural catastrophe risk
- Energy transition and electric mobility
- Demographic change and societal risk trends
- Sustainability, innovation, and risk management in insurance or financial services
A genuine interest in the intersection of sustainability, risk, underwriting, investments, and business strategy will be considered a strong advantage.
