Position Overview:
The Back Office Payments & Securities Officer Senior, supports the Bank’s operational activities related to payments processing and securities administration. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant execution of transactions in accordance with Luxembourg regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and international banking standards. The position acts as a key control function within the Bank’s operational framework, contributing to efficiency, risk mitigation, and service quality.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute complex domestic and international payment transactions (SEPA, SWIFT, cross-border) for Private and Corporate Banking clients. • Manage securities back-office operations including settlement, custody, reconciliations, and corporate actions, ensuring ac-curacy and timeliness. • Perform and review cash and securities reconciliations, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies. • Ensure full compliance with AML/CFT, sanctions, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks. • Act as a key contact point for correspondents, custodians, clearing systems, and external service providers. • Support and coordinate audit activities, regulatory requests, and management reporting. • Identify operational risks, contribute to mitigation actions, and support incident management. • Participate actively in process optimization, system migrations, and operational projects. • Provide guidance, training, and day-to-day support to junior team members

What you'll need to succeed

Your profile:
• More than 5 years of experience in back-office operations within a bank, with solid exposure to payments and securities.• Proven experience supporting Private and Corporate Banking activities in a Luxembourg or international banking environment• Solid knowledge of payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT). Knwledge of Olympic system is an asset.• In depth understanding of securities settlement and custody processes is a plus.• Hands-on experience with core banking and securities platforms; advanced MS Excel skills.• High level of accuracy, autonomy, and accountability• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities in a regulated environment• Proactive mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills• Team-oriented mindset with clear and professional communication skills.• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.• Proficiency in English; French and/ or Italian will be considered as an asset
