Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited (“Deloitte Tax in India”) supports Deloitte Tax U.S. service lines through aligned professionals who deliver services to clients across global tax and mobility programs. As a part of Japan Tax team, Tax Consultant II/Tax Senior, you will support global mobility managed services work and help deliver high-quality client service with accuracy and timely execution. This role offers the opportunity to work with Deloitte global offices, client teams, and internal stakeholders across the expatriate assignment.

Work you'll do
As a part of USI Japan GES Tax team, Tax Consultant II/Tax Senior you will be responsible for…
• Support global mobility projects, assignment briefings, and engagement deliverables in coordination with team leadership
• Prepare Japan tax returns, based upon local tax laws of Japan
• Communicate with overseas member firms and clients, to collect information, coordinate cross-functional services and collaborate with Deloitte member firms and client teams to meet deadlines
• Provide administrative and operational support to the team as required
• Generate reports for leadership and support vendor management and invoicing processes
• Develop technical skills and knowledge of our clients' business
The Team
Tax practice is comprised of professionals who perform different income tax compliance processes including preparation of income tax returns, financials and supporting work papers for individuals/ companies/partnerships/Trusts. You will work with tax professionals in Hyderabad and the member firm to assist with these services with exceptional customer service. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary functional and technical skills. Some trainings will be held in Hyderabad and some at member firm locations.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 9 AM to 6 PM IST
Qualifications
Required:
• 2-5 years of experience in global mobility, expatriate management, or global mobility managed services
• B.COM/ Finance background
• Experience coordinating with client teams, global stakeholders, or member firms
• Experience using Microsoft Office for reporting, analysis, etc.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Willingness to adapt into a culturally diverse working environment and work with a team which is geographically apart
Preferred:
• Experience with Japan Tax Return preparation
• Experience in a Big 4, business process outsourcing, or shared services environment
