As “Hedge Fund Risk & Investment Analytics Professional ” within our dynamic team, you will be responsible for setting and improving our organizational objectives, and ensuring their consistent accomplishment.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Risk and Data Analytics & Technology teams to manage data-driven projects and process enhancements.
- Develop repeatable workflows (intake → validation → remediation → publish) with clear documentation and ownership.
- Validate portfolio analytics dashboards to ensure accuracy, usability, and scalability of investment datasets.
- Investigate anomalies to determine root cause (data, logic, calculation, mapping) and implement fixes.
- Create quality checks and exception reporting to reduce recurring breaks and improve confidence in outputs.
- Support hedge fund due diligence by validating, curating, and maintaining manager data quality (completeness, consistency, timeliness).
- Produce analytics and data views that help stakeholders assess managers and identify trends/outliers.
- Implement monitoring for completeness, outliers, breaks, and stale fields with thresholds, escalation paths, and audit-ready evidence.
- Document remediation actions with clear ownership, controls, and repeatability.
- Review statistical packages/tooling and recommend improvements for maintainability and fitness for purpose.
- Identify high-value AI/LLM opportunities to accelerate analytics and data workflows (capture, flags, highlights, automation, query assistance).
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- At least 1 year of experience working with large datasets using SQL and Python.
- Experience developing or improving data management processes (controls, monitoring, documentation, repeatability).
- Experience at an investment firm.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative/analytical field (Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills to translate data issues and technical choices into clear stakeholder updates.
- Detail-oriented approach to detect inconsistencies and drive issues through to resolution.
- Analytical skills to form hypotheses, test quickly, and validate outputs.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience with Tableau.
- Experience with Streamlit.
- Familiarity with RiskMetrics (or equivalent risk/analytics tooling).
- Prior exposure to hedge fund manager/ due diligence analytics and datasets.
- Experience applying or prototyping AI/LLM solutions for analytics and workflow acceleration.
- Experience evaluating and improving statistical tooling for process fit and maintainability.
